I am searching for the decendents of the children of Everett Monroe HICKS & Martha Evaline (WALDROP) HICKS. They are my great grand parents who lived with their son (my grand father) William Monroe HICKS and his wife Ollie Eugene (HEGLER) HICKS in Bowie County from 1900 until their death. Everett and Martha had 6 sons Henry HICKS b.1868, Geroge W. HICKS b.1869, William Monroe HICKS b.1871, James Madison HICKS, b.1874, John S. HICKS b.1876, Francis Marion HICKS b.1880.

Looking for information on William Augustus LEATHERS b, abt. 1840's in S.C. married Martha Susan BURDETTE b.Sep 1843 in S.C. date of marrage 28 Dec 1867 in Pickens S.C. Lator moved to Bowie Co.Tx. Died in Bowie Co. and was buried in Pine Spring Cemetary, Pine Spring Tx. No date of death. They were in Pittsburg Co.OK in 1920 with the following children Eveley (dau)age 12, Lester (son)age 10, Jerald (son)age 4, and Delby (dau)age 2. I was adopted out in February 1952 and the adoption took place in Texarkana, Texas at a courthouse. My name at birth was Eleanor Janice Franks. WHALEY, SPENSER, WILLIAMS I am looking for any information on William Durant Green WHALEY moved to Bowie County in the 1885 - 1900 time frame from Onslow County NC. He married Ida SPENSER in Bowie County. Ida was born on a farm near Tuscaloosa Alabama in 1884. Her fathers name was John SPENSER and her mother's maiden name was Rebbecca WILLIAMS.

LENOX of Bowie Co, Dekalb and Malta. LENOX, James Woodrow 1876-1943 buried Redlick UMC Cemetery. LENOX, John 1834- 1898 also buried Redlick UMC Cemetery. These two being my grandfather and Great Grandfather. I believe them to be relatives of the Lenox of Dekalb and Malta. Looking for anyone that can get me back past LENOX, John who was (we think) born in MO.
