H. A. Barnett was born 15 Aug 1865 in Lampasas County.  He was elected sheriff of Burnet County in 1932 and has held that office to date.  Mr. Barnett is not a candidate for re-election, and will retire from office at the end of this term and give his attention to his ranching interests. 

Mr. and Mrs. Barnett have three sons, Denton and Chester of Maratathon, and Mark of Marfa.

Before her marriage, Mrs. Barnett was Miss Non Bean.
