Sarah Ann was born Jan 27, 1846 in Johnson Co. MO. , the daughter of John Lewis King and Elizabeth Barton. She died Sept 29, 1913 in Coleman Co. TX.
John Lewis King was born 1807 in Greene Co. TN, the son of Peter King and Susannah Lewis. He died in Burnet Co. TX Feb 11, 1880.
Elizabeth was born Feb 15, 1819 in Jefferson Co. TN, the daughter of William Barton and Hannah Oliphant. She died Jan 11, 1902 in Burnet Co. TX.
Both John and Elizabeth are buried in the Oatmeal Cemetery near Bertram.

William Barton was a descendant of Isaac Barton and Sarah Vesey who came to America from Ireland in the early 1700's. William' s parents were Isaac Barton II and Keziah Murphy. He was born in TN, but migrated to MO about 1839. His wife Hannah was the daughter of John A. Oliphant and Hannah Amos.
John's parents were Ephraim Oliphant and Sarah Stout. His grandfather, Duncan Oliphant migrated to New Jersey from Scotland in the early 1700s. Sarah's parents were Freegift Stout and Mary Higgins. Freegift's parents were David Stout and Rebecca Ashton. His grandfather, Richard Stout, came to this country in the mid-1600's with his wife, Penelope VanPrinces, who was born in Amsterdam, Holland, the Netherlands.
