Feild Passed Away Saturday...
Mrs.
Hattie
Feild, 78, died at her home in Lampasas
Saturday, November 23,at 4:00 a.m.
She had been in poor health for several
years and had been confined to her bed for
eighteen months when she passed away.
Funeral
services
and burial were in the Pleasant Hill
Cemetery, in Burnet County, Monday
afternoon. The services were
conducted by the Rev. J.H. Estes, pastor
of the Methodist Church and the Rev. Mack
Hahn of Lake Victor. Briggs-Gamel
Funeral directors were in charge of
arrangements. Pallbearers were
Forest Shelby, Joe T. Tumlinson, Frank
Stewart, W. A. Fariss, George Hodge and
Bernard Mallett.
Mrs.
Feild,
whose maiden name was Miss Hattie McGuire,
was born in Sonoma County, California on
February 26, 1862. She came to Texas
with her parents in 1876 and was married
to A. A. Feild of Burnet County, on
December 25, 1878. They made their
home in Burnet County, where Mr. Feild was
engaged in stock farming until his death
on August 28, 1929. Two years later,
Mrs. Feild moved to Lampasas where she
built a home and lived there until her
death.
She
was
a member of the Methodist Church since
early childhood and, as long as she was
able, was a regular attendant at the
services.
Surviving
are
two children, Ira Feild of Lake Victor and
Harry Feild o fLampasas; one brother, W.H.
McGuire of Lampasas; fourteen
grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Note:
Harriet
(Hattie) McGuire Feild was the daughter of
Altemus and Margaret Campbell
McGuire. She married Albert Anderson
(Andy) Feild and was the mother
of Rev. Albert V. (Al),Kate, Harry and Ira
