Ella was born in September 1866 (most likely in or near Goliad, TX) to Fielding Harper Holloway and Louisa Deere. Louisa died shortly after (1866-1867) and Fielding and Ella moved back to Mississippi. Fielding remarried around 1870 to a woman named Adaline -- surname possibly was Alexander. Together, the 3 of them moved back to Texas and settled in the Burnet/Fairland/Marble Falls area.

On February 13, 1884, Ella married Thomas Leech, Jr.

Together, Thomas and Ella had 2 daughters, Cicily Rebecca (born March 28, 1885) and Hazel Louise (born December 9, 1886).

In September 1887, Thomas, Ella, & their girls were in Monroe, Louisiana, where Thomas was purchasing cotton (he was a cotton clerk by trade). Somehow Ella became sick and died on September 25. According to her obituary, her body was transported back to Burnet for burial.  [at this time, no record can be found for burial in Burnet County]
