Melvin Kincheloe was born in Burnet, Texas, on February 24th, 1909.  He graduated from the Burnet High School in 1928, and attended an electrical school in Oklahoma City for nine months.

In May 1929 he was united in marriage to daughter of Miss Lois Fry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Fry, and they have three children.

Mr. Kincheloe served as City Commissioner of Burnet for six years, and Mayor Protem of the town for several months.  He also served as director of the Burnet Rural Telephone Company for two years.

He is now proprietor of Kincheloe's Service Station on Highway 66, and is local agent for Firestone tires and tubes.
