Mrs. D. A. Watson entertained a large number of friends Saturday afternoon with a musical, followed with delicious fruit punch and cake.


W. S. Dillingham and daughter, Miss Eulalia spent the weekend in Austin with relatives and friends.


Mr. and Mrs. George Juby Sundayed with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Juby.



Hill DeWolf and family spent the week in San Antonio attending the Fiesta.

J. M. Hart who returned to his home in Beaumont last week was brought back here Saturday for burial, having been shot, it is said, by his son-in-law, Stevens.  He lived about twenty four hours after being shot in the back.

Another shower this week stays the specter of drouth a few more days, but every rain cloud has anorther lining so the moisture soon dries away.
