M. H. Reed Sundayed in Llano.


J. E. Odiorne and wife are taking in the Bertram fair.

Dr. G. A. Wilson and wife are attending the Bertram Fair.


Mrs. H. L. Tate visited in Llano this week.

W. H. Badger was in Burnet on business a part of the week.


County Clerk Chamberlain was here from Burnet on business last Saturday.

A. R. Johnson Jr., and wife were over from Burnet last Sunday.

John Lawhon and wife were down from Kingsland last Saturday.

Elmo and Sidney Tate of Kingsland will move to Oklahoma in the near future.


Joe Spitler has the contract to build the new bank building at Johnson City.

Arthur Hays is improving his house on the ranch in the Mormon Mill neighborhood.

We regret to learn that Miss Fannie Conners is quite sick at the home of a friend in Austin.
Mrs. B. B. Fowler is confined to her bed with a stubborn case of typhoid fever.

E. L. Kusenberger went to Liberty Hill on business yesterday.
Carl Faubion of Spicewood will build a new home in the near future.  S. A. Traylor has the contract.

Mrs. J. P. Noble paid her subscription and that of her mother, Mrs. C. J. Wooten of Junction City, to the Messenger this week.


Mrs. M. A. Davis was quite sick a part of the week.  She had a congestive chill last Sunday night.
W. D. Stuart is home from his summer vacation, looking very much improved in every way -- physically, mentally, financially and otherwise.


Walter Proffitt was up from Double Horn early in the week.
F. P. Green, president of the Burnet National Bank, was here on business last Saturday.


O. A. Smith and wife spent last Saturday night and Sunday in Johnson City.
The Marble Falls Cornet band, one of the best in West Texas, is making music at the Bertram Fair this week.


Harvey Roper and wife spent last Saturday night and Sunday in Johnson City.
Prof. U. Collins, formerly of Marble Falls, now making his home at Fisher, Texas, was here this week.

Mr. S. Barber of Fisher, was here to visit his daughter, Mrs. B. Badger, this week.  Mr. Barbar is hale and hearty at the ripe old age of 80.

The Statesman of today reports the death of Mrs. H. T. Gone at Llano yesterday.  The bereaved relatives and friends have our sympathy.

Mrs. R. Hardin returned last Tuesday from an extended visit to her son in Canada and daughter in Montana.  Mrs. Hardin is in fine health and says she had a splendid trip.

R. H. Evans and Mrs. M. P. Turner will attend the big Baptist State Convention at Waco early in November.  Bob is not a delegate, however; just going along to see that Mrs. Turner enjoys the trip.
