Coon who married Virginia Gilldart 15 Dec 1868.] Uncle Coon, one of the old land marks of this country, died at his home near Mormon Mill last Monday. he was buried in the Hairston Creek cemetery Tuesday afternoon by the Masonic order, of which he was a member. The editor has know Mr. Coon for a number of years, and regrets very much to learn of his death. |
The Messenger regrets to chronicle the death of little Wayne Bible, 4 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Dock Bible, last Friday night at 12 o'clock. The little fellow took sick in the afternoon and died that night. The Messenger extends condolence. | |
Married -- Mr. Oscar Wallace and Miss Ada Roper were united in marriage last night at 8 o'clock, Rev. W. M. Riddle officiating. The young people are both quite popular in our town and the Messenger joins their many friends in wishing them many years of peaceful married life. |
