TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Know ye, that James F. Neely, Private, of Captain William H. Gibsons Company ("B"), 51st Regiment of Missouri Infantry VOLUNTEERS who was enrolled on the Twenty Eighth day of February one thousand eight hundred and sixty five to serve one years or during the war, is hereby DISCHARGED from the service of the United States this thirty first day of August, 1865, at Benton Barracks, Mo. By reason of G. O. No. 94 War Dept. Co. S.S.O.M. 15 office chief [not legible] offices of Mo. [not legible] August 24, 1865 St. Louis, Mo.

No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist.

Said James F. Neely was born in Anderson Co. in the State of Missouri, is Twenty three years of age, Five feet [not legible] inches high, Fair complexion, Gray eyes, Brown hair, and by occupation, when enrolled, a Farmer.

Given at Benton Barracks this Thirty first dfay of August, 1865.
