The Burnet County Courthouse is located on the square at 220 S. Pierce. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Copies of marriage, probate, deeds, birth and death records are available for $1.00 per page. Call them at (512) 756-5406 to verify prices or  for more information.


1860 Burnet County Census - Alphabetical, with age, sex, occupation, and state or country of birth.
Burnet County Marriage Records - 1852-1874. Sorted by Groom's name; includes page # of original courthouse record, Bride's name, date of marriage, and in some cases, who performed the marriage.
1890 Burnet County Civil War Veterans - Names from a special 1890 Census for veterans; includes locale and enumeration district.
General Genealogy Information - Useful information for the genealogist including nicknames, naming patterns, Confederate Archive Addresses, a calendar of American wars, and the Social Security application.
