CAMP COUNTY - MAPLE SPRINGS CEMETERY Funeral services for Dorthy Mae Gamble, 64, of Wills Point are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Chaplain Pat Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Springs Cemetery in Winnsboro. She passed away Sunday evening, March 14, 2010, in a Mesquite hospital. Dorthy was born on April 26, 1945, in Winnsboro, Texas, the daughter of Bernice Landers and Gwendlyn Ruth Brandon Landers. She was raised in Winnsboro and graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1964. On February 9, 1968, she married James Harrell Gamble in Garland. Dorthy had been employed by AT & T in Dallas for forty-two years as an operator, retiring in 2006. She lived in Lancaster for thirty years prior to moving to Wills Point three years ago. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, painting and working puzzles. Dorthy was a breast cancer survivor since 2009. She was of the Baptist faith Preceded in death by her parents. Dorthy is survived by her husband, James Gamble, of Wills Point; several nieces and nephews, Joyce Chandler, Julie and Holly Maynard, Donna and Heather Simpson, John and Jim Gosnell, Doug Abbott, Amanda Abbott and many more nieces, nephews and friends.
