HUGHES SPRINGS -- Services for Staff Sgt. Samuel Tyrone Castle, 26, of Hughes Springs, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Hughes Springs First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Gomillia officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery of Avinger. Arrangements are by Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. Staff Sgt. Castle died May 10, 2005, in Al Asad, Iraq. Born June 12, 1978, in Linden, he was serving his second tour of duty in Iraq with the U.S. Army, and was a member of Love Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Nicole Castle; daughter, Samilya Castle; son, Samuel T. Castle; mother, Della Payne; father, Jimmy T. Castle; sisters, Wanakee Castle, Jasmine Castle, and Jade Castle; and brother, Antwone Castle. No formal visitation is planned, but friends and family may sign a memorial book at the funeral home.
