He trained at Camp Stewart, Ga. and Served in France and England. He was awarded the Good Conduct medal and discharged in 1945.
Allen, Climmie Lee - Pvt. Climmie Lee Allen is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Climmie Allen of Linden and the husband of Mattie w. Colbert of Linden. He entered the Army and Barber College in 1941, training at Camp Wolters, Tx, Camp Polk, La. and Ft. Sill, Ok. He served in New Guinea, India, Burma and the Marshall Islands. He was discharged in 1944.
Banks, O.C. - Pfc. O.C. Banks is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Eular Banks of Queen City. He entered the Army in 1943 and trianed at Camp Stoneman, Ca. He served in Europe, England and Germany and was awarded the Good Conduct medal with 4 Battle Stars, the Victory medal, and the ETO ribbon. He was discharged in 1945.
