VII. Drury Cooke: married Drucilla, in Brunswick County, Virginia, 1771; in North Carolina during Revolution; in Wilkes, Washington, Hancock Counties, and died about 1820 in Clarke County, Georgia.

VIII. John Drury Cook: (1765-1843); married Mary Heard, (1771-1838); were in Greene County, Georgia, until about 1804; in Clarke County until about 1809; in Morgan County until about 1823; in Henry County until 1828, when they settled at Cooksville in that part of Coweta County that was cut off into Heard County. There in their family cemetery are their marked graves. In the nearby home is their family Bible.
Children:
1. *Thomas Cook: (1792-1857) whose grave is in the abandoned cemetery of the old Keys' Methodist Church, Worthville, Butts County, Georgia. He married his second cousin, Sarah Fitzpatrick (1798-1863), daughter of Constantine Perkins Fitzpatrick (1771-1845), and of  Mary Perkins Fitzpatrick (1778-1856).
2. Caleb Cook: (1793-1860's), of Coweta County, Georgia, and of Columbia County,  Florida. He has descendants at both places. His first wife was Sarah Perkins (1792-1822), Permelia Robinson was his second wife.
3. Elizabeth Cook Wester: (1795-1860's), married Benjamin Wester, died 1880's, and reared  a family in Chambers County, Alabama, where there are descendants.
4. John Cook: (1797-after 1860); married Martha Stell in Morgan County, Georgia; lived two miles northwest of Grantsville, Coweta County, Georgia, until he went with the Stells to Houston County, Texas, in 1856. He has descendants in both places.
5. Mary Cook McClendon: (1799-1854); married in Morgan County, Georgia in 1814, Samuel McClendon, Jr. (1786-1849). They were in Chambers County, Alabama from about 1838 to 1848, when they went to Lisbon, Louisiana. They have descendants in both
places. The old Samuel McClendon farm, adjoining Harmony Methodist Church, Chambers County, is owned and occupied by Clarence McClendon, a great grandson.
6. Sarah Cook Gordon: (1801-1850's); married Silas Gordon (died 1860 in Morgan County, Goergia), and in about 1828 settled about six or seven miles east of Moreland, Georgia, on land adjoining White Oak Presbyterian Church. Gordon Road crosses this land. Many
descendants there.
7. Wesley Cook: born 1803 and died 1880 in Cass County, Texas; was living in Russell County, Alabama, in 1850. He had several daughters and one son.
8. Drucilla Cook: (1807-1822)
9. Rebecca Cook Stell: (1809-1860's); married Thomas Jones Stell in Henry County, Georgia in 1825. He was in Stewart County, Georgia, in 1840, and represented the county in the legislature. She died in DeWitt County, Texas, where there are descendants.
10. Nancy Cook: (1809-1850's); the other twin; married in Henry County in 1824, Hezekiah Kendrick. They were in Chambers County, Alabama in 1840. They went to Dallas County, Arkansas, about 1849. Descendants contacted there.
11. James Cook: (1807-1877); born in Clarke County, Georgia; married Eliza Barton (1811-1877) in Morgan County, Georgia; about 1848 went from Chambers County, Alabama to Lisbon, Claiborne Parish, Louisiana, where both died. His bible is now in Louisiana.
12. Martha Cook: (1811-1839); married Edmond Spearman; buried in Spearman Cemetery near Corinth, Heard County, Georgia. Descendants listed.
13. Hope Hull Cook: (1815-1871); married Sophronia Heflin (1823-1900), daughter of Wyatt and Sarah Stell Heflin; reared family at old Cook homestead, Coosville, Heard County,  Georgia. Descendants now live at this place.

IX. Wesley Cook: 1803-1880; Son of John Drury Cook (1765-1843) and of Mary Heard Cook (1771-1838), daughter of Captain Thomas Heard (1742-1800) and of Elizabeth Napier Fitzpatrick Heard (1750-1790) of Virginia and Green County, Georgia, was born about the time his parents moved from Greene County, Georgia to Clarke County, Georgia. About 1809 his parents moved over into the new county of Morgan and remained there until several of the family died from Typhoid in 1822. Soon thereafter most of the John Drury Cook family went to Henry County, Georgia, and in 1828 went on to the new county of Coweta County, Georgia. John Drury Cook himself settled in that part of Coweta that soon became Cooksville, Heard County, Georgia. There John Drury Cook and his wife died and were buried in their family cemetery. His descendants in 1967 are living in the old home and there is kept the family Bible.

When the Cooks left Morgan County, Wesley remained in Morgan with his brother, Caleb. In 1826 he married Mary Brooks (1808-1870) and in 1827 they bought land in Henry County, Georgia. In 1834 he moved to Heard County, Georgia, and by 1840 was over in Troup County, Georgia. About 1844 he went to Chambers County, Alabama, for a couple of years and then bought a fertile farm on Chattahoochee River, near Bartletts Ferry in Russell County, now Lee County, Alabama. In 1857 he left Russell County, Alabama, and soon settled in Cass County, Texas. He probably spent several years in Louisiana before settling near Linden, Cass County, Texas. there he and his wife died and Mrs. Lane Teel of Atlanta, Texas says their unmarked graves are in the cemetery of Laws Methodist Church. He married Louisa M. Rankin as his second wife in 1871 and she survived him.

1. Sarah Jane Cook: born in Henry County, Georgia, 1827; in Troup County Georgia, in 1844, married William T. Rutledge, who died in late 1850's; married #2 Josiah O'Rear, Sr., and died in Cass County, Texas. Her children were Mary Rutledge (Mrs Wash) O'Rear,
Eliza Rutledge (Mrs. David) Perkins, Martha Rutledge (Mrs Algenon Sidney) O'Rear,  Wesley Rutledge, Laura Rutledge (Mrs William Thomas) Caver and George Clarence O'Rear.
2. James Wiley Franklin Cook: 1829-1903: in 1857 married in Alabama, Mary Elizabeth Howell and left immediately for Texas, but stopped for a year in Louisiana before settling in Cass County, Texas, where they reared a large family and died. The following are those
of his 13 children who reached maturity; Martha Rebecca Scott Cook (Mrs RH Vaghan) (1866-1905); James Wesley Neal Cook (1868-1899); Daniel Casper Cook (1871-1958); Sarah Heard Cook (Mrs JH Harrod)(1873-1942); Sophronia Sawyer Cook (Mrs James Calvin Griffin) (1874-1931); Virginia Antionette Cook (Mrs William Vaughn) (1879-1901); and Jesse Baring Cook (1882-1956).
3. Elizabeth Ann Cook: Born Oct 16, 1831 in Henry County, Georgia; married about 1848 in Chambers County, Alabama, James L. Smithy and was in Cass County, Texas by 1860, where both died. Her children were Anneliza Smith (Mrs. Josiah O'Rear, Jr); Julia C. Smith (Mrs Thos. Wm. Dawson Teel) (1858-1932); Robert Smith, who died in childhood; and Jennie Ophelia Smith (Mrs Henry S. Bruce, Jr) (1872-1941).
4. Mary Eliza Cook: 1834-1908; on Nov 21, 1854 in Russell County, Alabama, married George Hamilton Miller (1823-1883) and both buried in Laws Chapel Churchyard. Children were Virgil Andrew Miller, who disappeared in 1902, leaving 2 sons and 2 daughters; Mary Ada Miller (Mrs Albert Lee Duem) and James Oscar Miller (1864-1913) died unmarried.
5. Wesley Collinsworth Cook: 1836-1840.
6. Martha Ann Cook: 1840-1905; born in Troup County, Georgia; married Dr. Robert Donald Lumpkin in Cass County in 1865; buried in Laws Chapel Cemetery. Of her 7 children, only the following reached maturity and only of the 3 left issue; William Sawyer Lumpkin (1872-1944) died unmarried; Addrian Telula Lumpkin (1875-1954; and Louisa Roxanna Lumpkin (Mrs Melvin Walker) (1881-1957).
7. Adryann Sophrony Fletcher Cook: 1844-1899; married James addison O'Rear (1845- 1926); both buried at Laws Chapel. Of her 9 children, only the following 2 left issue; Abrigail Louisa O'Rear (Mrs Columbus Vastine Caver) (1873-1956); and Lee Roy O'Rear (1883-1947).
8. Samantha Elenora Heard Cook: 1847-1880; born in Chambers or Russell County, Alabama, Dec 25, 1847; married Allen Walter Steger Aug 24, 1865; buried in Laws Chapel Cemetery. Her children: Emmett Ernest Steger (1870-1948); Elbert Wesley Steger (1872-1913); Alford Merritt Steger (1875-1960); and Allen Homer Steger (1879-1950). Her step children; H.W. Steger, V.J. Steger, Mrs. Ethel Steger Griffin and Mrs. Estell Steger Witt.

WOODSON LINE
I. Dr. John Woodson: (1586-1644); graduated at St. John's College, Oxford, 1604; came to Jamestown, Va., in the "George" in 1619 with Governor Yardley as surgeon to a company of soldiers; settled at Fleu de Hundred on the James River; killed in the Indian Massacre of 1644; marriedSarah ?. In the Virginia Archives is the gun used by Sarah Woodson to defend herself and her two small sons in the massacre in which Dr. Woodson was killed. Children: Robert and John Jr.

II. John Woodson, Jr.: 1632-1684; of Henrico County, Virginia. Children: Robert and John, III

III. John Woodson, III (died 1700); of Henrico County Virginia; married Mary Tucker, who died in 1710, leaving a will. Mary Tucker was the only child of Captain Samuel Tucker of the ship, Vine Tree, and of his wife, Jane Lacrome of Bristol, England. Captain Tucker was from Bristol, England, where he married Jane in 1670. She was named executor of his will. In 1680, Jame Lacrome Tucker married John Pleasants (1644-1698), who came from England to Virginia in 1665 and settled at Curles Neck, Henrico County. Children of Jane Lacrome Tucker-Pleasants; (1) Mary Tucker, wife of John Woodson, III, (2) John Pleasants, (3) Joseph Pleasants and (4) Elizabeth Pleasants, who married James cocke. Children of Mary Tucker and John Woodson, III; (1) Joseph, (2), Samuel Tucker, (3) Benjamin and (4) Jane, who married her cousin Joseph Woodson.

IV. Benjamin Woodson: 1698-1778; of Goochland and Fluvanna Counties, Virginia; married 1720 Frances Napier. He left a will. Children: (1) Benjamin Jr., (2) Rene, (3) Patrick, (4) Frances Anderson and (5) Mary Perrin, who died at an advanced age in Morgan County, Georgia.

V. Mary Perrin Woodson Fitzpatrick: married Joseph Fitzpatrick and after his death about 1777 came with all her children to Georgia, and died in Morgan County, Georgia, at a very old age. Joseph Fitzpatrick lived in that part of Goochland County that was cut off into Fluvanna County. Joseph left a will in Fluvanna. Children: (1) William, (2) Benjamin, (3) Joseph, (4) Booth, (5) Rene, (6) Mrs. Robert Wright, (7) Mrs. George Heard and (8) Elizabeth Napier, wife of Captain Thomas Heard.

VI. Elizabeth Napier Fitzpatrick Heard: 1750-1790; married in 1766 in Virginia to Captain Thomas Heard 1742-1808. They came to Greene County, Georgia; lived on Richland Creek before finally settling on Town Creek, eight miles north of Greensboro, Georgia, where they rest in well marked graves in their family cemetery. The will of Captain Thomas Heard in Green County names all his children. (1) Catherine (Mrs Isaac Stocks & Mrs Pressley Watts), (2) Abram, (3) Mary, who Woodson, (8) George, (9) Elizabeth, who married Peeples and Whatley and (10) Sallie (Mrs Wilson Whatley).

VII. Mary Heard Cook: 1771-1838; married in 1786 in Greene County, Georgia, John Drury Cook 1765-1843; lived in Greene, Clarke, Morgan and Henry Counties and finally settled at Cooksville in that part of Coweta that was cut off into Heard County, Georgia. There are their marked graves and family Bible. This place in 1962 is owned and occupied by descendants. Children: (1) Thomas 1792-1857, (2) Caleb 1793-1860's, (3) Elizabeth (Mrs Benjamin Wester), (4) John, Jr., (5) Mary, married Samuel McClendon, Jr., (6) Sarah, married Silas Gordon, (7) Wesley, (8) James, (9) Drucilla, (10) Nancy, married Edmond Spearman, (11) Rebecca, married Hezekiah Kendrick, (12) Martha, married Edmond Spearman, and (13) Hope Hull 1815-1871.

VIII. Wesley Cook: 1803-1880.

NAPIER-BOOTH LINE

I. Dr. Patrick Napier: 1610-1669, son of Robert of Edinburgh, Scotland; came to Virginia in 1655; married Elizabeth Booth 1645-1675, daughter of Robert Booth 1619-1664. Robert Booth settled in York County, Virginia, before 1639, when he was clerk of the County Court. He was burgess 1653-1664. Children of Dr. Patrick Napier and Elizabeth Booth: Robert and Frances.

II. Robert Napier: 1658-1712, of New Kent County, Virginia; married Mary Perrin. Children: (1) Booth, (2) Robert, (3) Katherine, (4) Elizabeth and, (5) Frances, who married Benjamin Woodson.

III. Frances Napier Woodson, married Benjamin Woodson.

IV. Mary Perrin Woodson Fitzpatrick, married Joseph Fitzpatrick.

V. Elizabeth Napier Fitzpatrick Heard, 1750-1790; married Captain Thomas Heard.

VI. Mary Heard Cook, 1771-1838: married John Drury Cook.

VII. Wesley Cook: 1803-1880

ROYALL - PERRIN LINE

I. Joseph Royall: 1600-1658, from England to Jamestown, Virginia, in the "Charitie"; settled on James River above Shirley Hundred; married Katherine Banks about 1645, of Canterbury, England. She married as her second husband Henry Isham. She left a will. Children of Katherine Banks Royall-Isham; (1) Joseph Royall, (2) ? Royall Dennis, (3) Sarah Royall Wilkerson, (4) Katherine Royall, married Perrin and Farrar, (5) ? Royall Maschell, (6) Henry Isham, Jr., (7) Mary Isham Randolph and (8) Anne Isham Epps.

II. Katherine Royall: married Mr Farrar and then Richard Perrin. Children: (1) Katherine Farrar, (2) Richard Perrin, (3) Mary Perrin, (4) Sara Perrin and (5) Ann Perrin.

III. Mary Perrin Napier: married 1689 Robert Napier.

IV. Frances Napier Woodson: married Benjamin Woodson.

V. Mary Perrin Woodson Fitzpatrick: married Joseph Fitzpatrick.

VI. Elizabeth Napier Fitzpatrick Heard: Captain Thomas Heard.

VII. Mary Heard Cook: John Drury Cook.

VIII. Wesley Cook: 1803-1880.

HEARD - FAULKNER LINE

I. John Heard: came from Ireland to Hanover County, Virginia, about 1720. He was of an English family that had migrated to Ireland. Children: (1) Jane, (2) William, (3) Stephen, (4) Charles, (5) John, (6) James, (7) Jesse, (8) Thomas and, (9) George.

II. Stephen Heard: about 1695-1774; married in 1720 in Virginia, Mary Faulkner. Children: (1) John, (2) Stephen, (3) George, (4) Jesse, (5) Thomas, (6) Susan Sandifer, (7) Mary, married William Heard, (8) Ann, married Pat Gillam.

III. Captain Thomas Heard: 1742-1808; married Elizabeth Napier Fitzpatrick.

IV. Mary Heard Cook: married John Drury Cook

V. Wesley Cook; 1803-1880.

FITZPATRICK LINE

I. William Fitzpatrick; from Ireland to Virginia about 1710; died in Fluvanna County, Virginia. Children: (1) William, (2) Joseph, (3) Thomas, (4) three daughters.

II. Joseph Fitzpatrick; married Mary Perrin Woodson.

III. Elizabeth Napier Fitzpatrick Heard; married Captain Thomas Heard.
