Watson

Ephraim WATSON and his wife, Mary Elizabeth (HARTSFIELD). His family is found in the 1860 Census for Cass Co., Linden post office, p.355.; and in the 1870 census for Davis Co., (changed back to Cass in 1871), Marietta P.O., p. 80. My wife is his Great granddaughter, and according to family lore (which I find no support for, so far), he was a Colonel (in the Civil War?), and led a wagon train from Georgia to Texas. He was b. 25 Feb 1823 in GA, and died Feb 1898. He is buried in the Corinth Cem. One of my wife's cousins even told me that there is a sort of a monument or marker dedicated to Col. Ephriam Watson within the County.
