NEW COMMUNITY CENTER BUILDING
One of the newest additions to the town in the way of public buildings is the new Community Center building. Built in 1947 by the Lions Club, a very up and coming civic organization at that time. It has really been worth the investment and much more to every group and individual in town ever since.
It is outfitted with a nice stage with kitchen underneath and has ample floor space in front of the stage to accommodate any type of gathering. Adjacent to the building is the city park, complete with barbecue pits, tables and water fountain. A big carnival, sponsored by the volunteer fire department, is held at the park each September.
