Enjoyed the info on my hometown

A couple of things about Bloomburg that I feel are missing:  First-Our town hosts the largest "fair-type" celebration (surpassing Atlanta's Forest Festival, etc.) in sheer turnout, revenue, interest, class, etc.--it benefits our volunteer fire dept.--it is known as "Cullen Baker
Day"--yes, if you are familiar with Reconstruction history--THAT Cullen Baker. Up until around 1985, the coup de grace to this fine celebration of Southern resentment was a three-act re-enactment of the (somewhat abbreviated) life of Cullen Baker. [As an aside--I was in this play for several years with my buddies--we progressed from playing children on the stage to treacherous Yankees' gunned down by Cullen Baker] Anyhow--I would hope that you might be able to include a reference to our little fair on your website.

Secondly-Our town is also home to the tallest building in Cass Co. (we refer to it as the "Old Bank Building"--which has a fascinating robbery story of it's own)--a three-story structure that once consisted of a bank (1st. floor), a doctor's office (2nd floor), and a Masonic lodge (3d floor--said to be haunted--very spooky by my own account!).

Thirdly-before you dismiss our little town as a backwater--I must relay to you the story of my Boy Scout Troop (#48)--when I was a
member[1981-89], we had about 8-12 members on average--as to the guyswho were my contemporaries (and this is just taking into account the Eagle Scouts, by the way)--four of us went to law school, one to ophthalmology school, one to med. school, one to Baylor to study music, one to radiology school--in fact there is only one of our Eagle Scouts (out of a town of 400+/-) who didn't finish college--and that's because he chose a military career.

Fourthly, the person to contact for info on Bloomburg is a lovely lady named Ms. Kathy Peacock--she is the curator of our museum (ironically located in the county's tallest building!).
