Nine of the members have passed away with the chapter conducting the funeral ceremonies of several of the deceased. Six still remain members of our chapter, some others having transferred to other chapters and some demitted.

Our Dispensation was signed by Mrs. Carrie Chase, Worthy Grand Matron; M.T. Bell, Worthy Grand Patron; and Mrs. Cassie C. Leonard, Grand Secretary.

Had no instrument at first, so left Organist Office vacant, later buying a victorla, which was used for several years, then bought the piano we now have. We have our regular chapter meetings in Masonic Hall on third Tues. evening of each month, sometimes being necessary to have "Special" meetings for different purposes. Each year we observe the birthday of Robert Morris, founder of the order, with a program. We also have a program on our Eastern Star Home, which is located in Arlington, Texas, and we remember the members of the Home with gifts and birthday cards and letters at different times. The Past Matrons and Past Patrons are honored each year with a program by the chapter. Also other programs are carried out after the meetings, these being on some part of our work. The chapter helps carry out the fraternal and welfare part of the work. Have helped in Red Cross and Benevolent work for past several years. Have helped in Education Loan and Rehabilitation work since the war. Had 2 members, Evelyn Barber Dickson and Josephine Williams in Service during World War II. Just having passed our 33rd birthday of the order, each year has shown growth of the chapter and increased interest.

Each W.M. and W.P. along with their officers, have endeavored to make their years work worth while. Have sent a chapter representative to Grand Chapter every year except one. Have had a part in helping with the Schools of Instruction held in our District each year, with several members holding "A" certificates and "B" certificates each year. Also are visited by our Deputy Grand Matron once a year. Our chapter was honored on Jan. 18th, 1946 by having a special meeting for an official visit of Worthy Grand Matron, Sister Lollah Mae Wollus of Houston, along with seven other Grand Officers. Had a beautiful banquet preceding the meeting.

Have a nice Installation Ceremony and program each year when new officers take charge. Have a memorial service for our deceased members once a year. Two past Worthy Matrons, Mrs. Pearl Davis and Mrs. Ouida Lemmons, and 5 past Worth Patrons, Bros. L.C. Weaver, John S. Morris, Jeff D. Boon, John P. Fant, and H.C. Grubbs are deceased.

Our chapter helped getting the material for the "Secretary's Issue" of Eastern Star Magazine for May, 1946.

Our present enrollment is 97 members. Mrs. Erna Boon is serving as Worthy Matron and Mr. L.H. Morris as Worthy Patron for the year 1947-1948.
