HUGHES SPRINGS ?— Graveside services for Genevieve H. Aycock, 99, of Avinger, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Avinger Cemetery in Avinger, Texas, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc., of Hughes Springs. Mrs. Aycock will lie in state 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. today, May 31, 2011, at the funeral home. Mrs. Aycock was born July 22, 1911, in Gilmer, Texas, and died May 30, 2011, at a nursing home in Hughes Springs. She was a retired school teacher of 33 years and taught at Mims, Avinger and Hughes Springs schools. She was a member of Avinger United Methodist Church and she loved the Lord. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edmund "Sweety" Aycock. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son and daughter-in-law, Lee " Salty" Edmund and Marion Aycock; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Andy Edmund and Angie Pitts of Hughes Springs; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, April E. and Christopher Grogan of Avinger, Texas; six great-grand-children, Murandi Aycock, Trinity Aycock, Andrew Grogan, Asher Grogan, Brooklyne Bond and Rondy Bond.
