JOE BIDDY HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Joe Biddy, 78, of Avinger, Texas, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, in a Longview, Texas, hospital. Mr. Biddy was born Aug. 12, 1926, in Avinger. He was retired from Lone Star Steel, a member of Masonic Lodge 156, Sharon Temple Shriners, Scottish Rite and First Baptist Church, Avinger, and a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, LaVonne Biddy of Avinger; four daughters, Mickey Lynn Junell of Quinlin, Texas, Deborah Ann Cook of Corinth, Texas, Cheryl Jo Pulley of Frisco, Texas, and Susan Michelle Stone of Wills Point, Texas; three brothers, C.L. Biddy of Chandler, Texas, Wilmer Biddy of Avinger and O'Neal Biddy of Hughes Springs; five sisters, LaVera Parvino and Myrtle Pendley of Avinger, Obie Lee Zanders of Houston, Mary Lou Brazil of Pasadena, Texas, and Annie Ruth Brown of Dayton, Texas; 10 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Avinger First Baptist Church with the Revs. Danny Biddy and Shawn Thrapp officiating. Burial will be in Avinger Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. The body may be viewed Friday and visitation will be after 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Avinger First Baptist Church.
