DOROTHY ECHOLS 

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Dorothy Green Echols, 76, of Linden died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, 
in a Longview, Texas, hospital. 

Mrs. Echols was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church, Linden. She was preceded in death by 
her husbands, H.V. Green and B. Echols. 

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, John and Diane Hartgrove of Texarkana, Ronald 
and Gail Green of Tyler, Texas, Robert and Lelia Green of Atlanta, Texas, Glen and Mary Sue Echols 
of Big Sandy, Texas; four daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Randy Lewellen of White Oak, Texas, 
Betty and Carroll Northcutt of Beckville, Texas, Shirley and Bill Grider of DeKalb, Texas, and Linda and 
Kenneth Pate of Linden; one brother, John Ivy Betts, Jr. of Dangerfield, Texas; and a number of 
grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Union Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Cur-tis Hall officiating 
under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. 

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
