WILLIAM GOLDEN HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-William Wesley "Yogi" Golden, 59, of Hughes Springs died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, in a Tyler, Texas, hospital. Mr. Golden was born Oct. 16, 1945, in Hughes Springs. He was an iron worker, a member of Iron Workers Local 591, Shreveport, La., and Arden Hanes American Legion Post 351, a Protestant and a Vietnam War Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Lee Ann Golden of Hughes Springs; one son, Taft Golden of Hughes Springs; three daughters, Shelly White, Cindy Hammond and Charlotte Carter of Gilmer, Texas; his mother, Mildred Golden of Hughes Springs; four brothers, Glenn Golden of Odessa, Texas, and Ronny Golden, Richard Golden and Steve Golden of Hughes Springs; seven sisters, Jean Duffey of Ore City, Texas; Reba Perkins of Prescott, Ark., Kathleen Steed of Daingerfield, Texas, and Joyce Black, Sue McDaniel, Teresa Bradley and Johnnie Chunn of Hughes Springs; 10 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Larry Neeley and Mike Black officiating. Burial will be in Hughes Springs Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
