Melba Jean High

HUGHES SPRINGS - Services for Melba Jean High, 78, of Hughes Springs, will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at Reeder-Davis Chapel, with the Rev. Daniel Bramlett officiating. Burial will follow in Hughes Springs Cemetery. Mrs. High died July 6, 2010, at a Longview hospital.

Born March 2, 1932, in Hughes Springs, she was a floral designer for McDaniel Greenhouse and a member of First Baptist Church in Hughes Springs. Survivors include her husband, William Loyd High; son, Danny Lynn High; daughter, Brinda Mandella; brother, Charles Mayo McDaniel; and sister, Doris Nell Vaughn. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, July 8, 2010, at the funeral home.
