Sybil Starrett Qualls Harris HUGHES SPRINGS — Services for Sybil Marie Starrett Qualls Harris, 76, of Gilmer will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Carter and the Rev. Phil Starrett officiating. Burial will be in Avinger Cemetery. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today, July 6, at the funeral home. Mrs. Harris died Sunday, July 4, 2004, in a Longview hospital. Mrs. Harris was born Aug. 17, 1927, in Carterville. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Orman E. Harris; one daughter, Rhonda Lewis; six sisters, Jewel Allison, Ida Wilson, Era McKinney, Georgie Parker, Lorene Emerson and Lucille Hoque; and three brothers, Auzzie Starrett, Grady Starrett and James Starrett. Survivors include three sons, Jerry Qualls of Avinger, Tommy Qualls of Daingerfield and David Qualls of Longview; three daughters, Linda Thomas of Gilmer, Becky Reeves of Hemphill and Pam Qualls of Longview; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, G.T. Starrett of Avinger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
