DAYMON HICKS

HUHGES SPRINGS, Texas-Daymon L. Hicks, 84, of Hughes Springs died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, 
in a local nursing home.

Mr. Hicks was born May 20, 1920, in Emerson, Ark. He was retired from Lone Star Steel, a member 
of First Baptist Church and the American Legion and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded 
in death by one son, Willard Mauldin.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Hicks of Hughes Springs; one daughter, Linda Pat Fraze of Hughes 
Springs; four sisters, Verdie Anderson of Ruston, La., Pauline Newsom of Cullen, La., Annie Ruth Carol 
of Minden, La., and Betty Jo of Maine; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of 
other relatives.

Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home with the Revs. Bryan Peck and Rick 
Monds officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Hughes Springs Cemetery.
