FRANK HOPKINS SR. HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Frank S. Hopkins Sr., 89, of Hughes Springs, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, in a Daingerfield, Texas, nursing home. Mr. Hopkins was born Jan. 27, 1915, in Lanark, Wis. He was a retired superintendent of Texas & Northern Railroad and a Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Joan H. Hopkins of Hughes Springs; 10 children, Frank S. Hopkins Jr., Nancy Winters, Barbara Golden, Patrick Hopkins and Michael Hopkins of Hughes Springs, George Hopkins of Toledo, Ohio, Mary Ellen Callas and Teresa Hopkins of Longview, Texas, Margaret Dobbs of Daingerfield and Maureen Railble of Kingsport, Tenn.; one sister, Mary Koback of Stevens Point, Wis.; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Rosary will be 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Daingerfield, with the Rev. Ambrose Chinnappa officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Pines Cemetery, Daingerfield, under direction of Reeder- Davis Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
