Robin Jones

HUGHES SPRINGS - Funeral services for Robin Jones, 52, of White Oak, will be 4 p.m., Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs, with the Rev. David Dusek officiating. Burial will be in Patterson Family Cemetery in Avinger, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home Inc.

Mrs. Jones will lie in state today, April 23, 2010, beginning noon at Grubbs Lloyd Funeral Home on Hwy. 259, in Diana, and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Diana.

Mrs. Jones was born January 7, 1958, in Hazard, Kentucky, and died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at a Longview hospital.

She attended White Oak Community Church and she loved quilting.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Jones; one son, Shyenne Robison of Muskogee, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Micah Childress of Longview; stepchildren, April Jones and "Chooch" Jones; her father, Bill Patterson of Avinger; two sisters Lori Tackett and her husband Bobby of White Oak, and Becky Clark and her husband Kenneth of Gladewater; one brother, Jeffery Patterson and his wife Elizabeth of Avinger; aunt, Janie Ross of London, Kentucky; two grandsons, Scottie and JR Robison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Faye Patterson; her grandmother, Maggie McIntosh; and her grandfather, Dewey McIntosh.

The family of Robin Jones would like to thank Texas Oncology of Longview and Good Shepherd Medical Center Staff and a special thank you to Dr. Frase and Dr. C.R. Martin.
