HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Tami Jene Handelman Jan, 38, of Hughes Springs died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, 
at her home.

Mrs. Handelman was born Dec. 5, 1965, in Santa Barbara, Calif. She was an Arabian equestrian show rider 
and instructor. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Handelman.

Survivors include her husband, Dusty Jan of Hughes Springs; three children, Meghan Jan, Madelynne Jan and 
Newt Jan of Hughes Springs; and her father, Gene Handelman.

Memorial services will be 5 p.m. Monday at Hughes Springs First United Methodist Church with Blu Weikel 
officiating.

Memorials may be made to Longview Animal Shelter or to a cancer research foundation.
