HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Melvin Lawton, 47, of Daingerfield, Texas, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, 
in Tyler, Texas.

Mr. Lawton was born Sept. 28, 1956, in Naples, Texas.

Survivors include three sisters, Emma Jean Love of San Diego, Lena Hines of Daingerfield and Geneva 
Durham of Dallas; one brother, Booker T. Lawton Jr. of Daingerfield; two aunts, Juanita Evans of 
Daingerfield and Wilma Lawton of Mount Pleasant, Texas; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Wallick Chapel Christian Church, Daingerfield, with Elder A.W. Lawton 
officiating. Burial will be in Whitmore Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
