IRENE PERRY

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Irene Perry, 76, of Avinger, Texas, died Friday, April 2, 2004, in a 
Longview, Texas, hospital.

Mrs. Perry was born July 26, 1927, in Bryans Mill, Texas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester L. Perry.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Don Perry of Bryan, Texas; three daughters, Charlotte Grubbs, 
Bessie Rhodes and Delana Alford of Avinger; her mother, Annie Carrie Joyce of Jefferson, 
Texas; one brother, Ira Joyce Jr. of Jefferson; three sisters, Nell Perry of Hughes Springs, Faye 
Davidson of Boyd, Texas, and Bobbie Lee of Jefferson; eight grandchildren; five great-
grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Avinger First Baptist Church with the Revs. Dale Carter and 
Shawn Thrapp officiating. Burial will be in Avinger Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis 
Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
