WINIFRED SPRINGER

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Winifred Lillian Lange Springer, 78, of Avinger, Texas, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, 
in Happy Jack, Ariz.

Mrs. Springer was born in Danville, Ill. She was retired from Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph, Lincoln, Neb., and 
a member of United Methodist Church in Avinger, Martha's Group, Lions Club and Independent Telephone Pioneer 
Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie G. Springer.

Survivors include one daughter, Janet Kay Davis of Jackson, Mich.; one son, Gary Lange Springer of Avinger; one 
sister, Marilyn Ann Abene of Shorewood, Ill.; one brother, Wayne Cundiff of Happy Jack; six grandchildren; and a 
number of great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church, Avinger, with the Rev. Richard Dowden officiating. 
Arrangements are under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
