Mike Wellborn HUGHES SPRINGS - Funeral services for Mike Wellborn, 52, of Hughes Springs, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, June 17, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Hughes Springs, with the Rev. Ralph Hale and the Rev. Daniel Bramlett officiating. Burial will be in Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mike was born on June 14, 1958, in Hughes Springs, to Raymond Haskell "Hack" Wellborn and Margie McDaniel Wellborn and passed away on Monday, June 14, 2010, at his home in Hughes Springs. Mike was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Marietta. He was operator and partner of Corn Dog 7 in Hughes Springs. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Elizabeth McKinney Wellborn of Hughes Springs; one sister, Anna Mathis of Hughes Springs; his stepfather, George Hampton; in-laws, L. Ray and Betty McKinney, Stephen and Jenny McKinney, Greg and Mary McKinney, Jeff and Janie McKinney, all of Hughes Springs, and Greg and Brenda Sellers of Woodinville, Washington; nieces and nephews, Chris, Cara, Clay, Jarrod, Ryan, Chad, Kurt and Ashley, Hunter, Kate, Julie, Blake McKinney, all of Hughes Springs, and Brent and Sean Sellers of Woodinville, Washington; aunts and uncles, Elizabeth Dudley, Ella Barrett, Lela Moncrief, Bobby McDaniel, Joyce Ogden, Dorothy McKinney and Wayne Wellborn; and best friends, Randy and Larry Green. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margie McDaniel Hampton; his father, Raymond Haskell "Hack" Wellborn; and a sister, Teriessa "Sissy". Mike will lie in state today, June 16, 2010, and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home in Hughes Springs.
