in a Longview, Texas, hospital.

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-H.W. "Snake" Watkins, 79, of Hughes Springs died Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, 
in a Longview, Texas, hospital.

Mr. Watkins was born Jan. 19, 1925, in Jefferson, Texas. He was a road construction worker, a Baptist and 
a World War II Army veteran.

Survivors include two daughters, Tracy Smith of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and Linda Watson of Kilgore, Texas; 
two sons, Aubrey Ridings of Kilgore and Donald Ridings of Hughes Springs; one sister and brother-in-law, 
Mozelle and W.O. Allen of Avinger, Texas; one special friend, Johnnie Lee Watkins of Kilgore; and a number 
of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Neeley officiating. Burial 
will be in Bradfield Chapel Cemetery.

The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
