LILY VAUGHAN
Funeral services for Mrs. Lily Harkrider Vaughan, wife of Ben Vaughan, who died Tuesday afternoon after a lingering illness, was held at the Methodist church in Greenwoods, LA., Thursday with interment in the Greenwood cemetery.
Mrs. Vaughan is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Ben Roberts, Mrs. Gilbert Hudson, Atlanta; Mrs. O. H. Box of Oklahoma; Miss Floris Vaughan, Greenwood, and one son Bernard Vaughan of Greenwood.

Injuries Fatal to Mrs. L.L. JOHNSON
Injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Sept. 16th, proved fatal to Mrs. L.L. Johnson, 30, of McCleod, Texas, who died in Highland sanitarium, Shreveport, late Friday.
The accident occurred on a road to McCleod, about a mile west of the Shreveport-Vivian highway, when cars driven by the woman's husband and L. E. Malone, 20 of Plain Dealing, La., collided head on. Mr. Johnson and the 18 month old baby of the couple were also seriously injured.
Malone was arrested by Deputy Prudhome but was later released when an investigation, the officer said, disclosed that Johnson was driving on the wrong side of the road when the collision occurred.
Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson were held at McCleod, Sunday.

Mrs. MAXINE RAINS
Car Accident Fatal to Linden Woman
Mrs. Maxine Rains, 19, was fatally injured at 9 am Sunday when her car ran into a sand bed five miles east of Linden on the recently completed highway 47.
No one witnessed the accident. JR Bynum, a farmer, arrived at the scene several minutes after the mishap and carried Mrs.. Raines to a doctor in Linden where she died after a few minutes. The automobile was a total wreck.
Mrs. Raines was the owner of the Linden Cafe. She was en route to Daingerfield to visit her baby. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Barrett of Linden, several brothers and sisters and the baby. Her husband died several years ago.
Funeral and burial was held at Clarksville, Texas, Monday afternoon, in charge of Allday-Caver funeral home of Linden.

W. M. DEES
Old Hughes Springs Citizen Dies
W. M. Dees, 79, died at his home in Hughes Springs, first of last week after an illness of two years. He was one of the county's best citizens and a Christian gentleman and was loved by all who knew him. Funeral services held at the Methodist Church, conducted by his pastor, Rev. R. B. Bates, assisted by Revs. G. K. William, C. L. Porter, J. W. Reeder and J. W. Ford.
Mr. Dees is survived by his wife, one son, W. Wayne Dees, McAllen, Texas, and one daughter, Miss Lola Dees and one sister Mrs. Betty Davenport of Hughes Springs.

Mrs. MINNIE RAGSDELL
Funeral services were held last Thursday for Mrs. Minnie Ragsdell, sister of two Atlanta men, who died Tuesday, July 14, in El Dorado, Ark.
Horace Hampton and Mr. Selman officiated at the services for Mrs. Ragsdell, 74, who had lived in Smackover, Ark. burial was in the Good Exchange cemetery.
Mrs. Ragsdell, a longtime resident of Atlanta, was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Butterfield of Smackover, Mrs. Donnie Cook of Kilgore, Mrs. Eunice Holt of Vivian, LA, and Mrs. Christeen Butterfield of Marshall; two brothers, Charlie Avery and Johnson Avery both of Atlanta; 15 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

MAUDIE B. RAGSDELL
Marshall- Mrs. Maudie Bell Ragsdell, 73, died Monday at 9:30 am in a Marshall hospital where she had been a patient for the past four weeks.
A native of Atlanta, Texas, Mrs. Ragsdell was born Nov. 22, 1891. She was the daughter of the late Walter Riley Brooks, also a native of Atlanta, Texas, and Missouri Ann Long Brooks, a native of Georgia. She was educated in the Alamance school near Atlanta.
She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Marshall.
She and the late William Joseph James Ragsdell were married May 15, 1915 in Atlanta. Following her husbands death Mrs. Ragsdell moved to Marshall.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 pm Wednesday from the Sullivan Funeral Home in Marshall, conducted by the Rev. Harvey Lewis, pator of the Central Baptist Church. Burial was in the Beech Creek cemetery near Atlanta.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Mrs. Nadine Wyatt and Mrs. Elizabeth Wilcox, Marshall; three sons, Warren H. Ragsdell and Jessie E. Ragsdell, Marshall, and James F. Ragsdell of Big Springs; four brothers, Walter R. Brooks, Bakersfield, Calif.; Jessie Brooks, San Francisco, Calif.; Grady Brooks, Borger, Texas; Homer Brooks, Amarillo; 17 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers were Raymonds Ford, Vernon Fallin, Dale Thomas, Virgil Ragsdell, Hayward Thomas and J.P. Ratley.
Honorary pallbearers wee Vic Swartz, Johnson Avery, Hardy McWilliams, Charlie Avery, John Cantrell, Dr. Robert Koenig, Denison Jones and Dr. H. O. Palgett.

Lotta Ragsdell, 8 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ragsdell, was killed instantly by lightning Saturday afternoon about 5 o'clock, while standing on the edge of the back porch of their home two miles east of town.
Burial took place Sunday at Beech Creek cemetery where Rev. J W Nichols of Cass conducted the services.

Julious Chapman, 20, of Mount Pleasant, was killed Monday night in a car accident. He was a fine young man, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Chapman of Mt. Pleasant. The message was a sad shock to his uncle, Will Chapman, of Queen City.

CECIL RAGSDELL Fatally Injured
Cecil Ragsdell, 23, of Good Exchange community, was fatally injured Wednesday night about 7 o'clock, Sept. 22nd. He was rushed to Charity Hospital, Shreveport, where he died Sunday morning at 7:30 o'clock.
The accident occurred on the Belcher-Gilliam highway when the car in which he was riding ran into a wagon loaded with cotton. Mr. Cook, driver of the car was only slightly bruised and injured. Ragsdell received a broken leg and internal injuries. The accident was caused by bright lights of a car Cook was meeting, blinding him which prevented him from seeing the wagon. The car and wagon were considerably damaged and one mule was killed.
Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ in Good Exchange by Rev. Manor. Burial in Good Exchange cemetery.
Cecil is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Ragsdell, four sisters, Mrs. Gladys Butterfield of Norphlett, Ark; Mrs. Donnie Jones, Mrs. Coy Holt, and Christine Ragsdell of Good Exchange.
Mr. Ragsdell was a member of the Christian Church and a graduate of Vivian High School. He and Mr. Cook, who stayed at the Ragsdell home, were on their way to the circus when the accident happened.
Mr. Ragsdell was a former resident of the Smyrna community.

WALTER D. DRAPER
Walter D. Draper, 80, a long resident here and prominent for many years in civic, church, and Masonic affairs, died last week following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were conducted from the Westside Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Anderson officiating.
Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Services.
Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Lee of Atlanta; two sons, Raymond Draper of Shreveport and Norman Draper of Atlanta; a sister, Mrs. Tressie Hunt of Texarkana; two brothers, Bud Draper and W. B. Draper of Queen City, Texas; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Hughes Springs-Funeral services were held Tuesday at Concord Baptist Church for Mrs. Evie Davlin, 82, who died Sunday in a Naples hospital.
The Rev. Arthur Flannigan and the Rev. Dannie Stevenson officiated and burial was in the Concord Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Byron Jones, Bill Cope, Johnny Alford, Chester Alford, Jimmy Jones and William E. Cope.

Mrs. Ragsdell died in a Atlanta hospital last Wednesday following a lengthy illness.
Burial was in the Salem Cemetery.

Funeral services were held here Monday for Mrs. Beulah Thomason, 84, who died Saturday, in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Thomason is survived be one son, Boyd Thomason of Vivian, La; one sister, Mrs. E. W. Dorn of Atlanta; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held in the Union Methodist Church near Douglassville Wednesday for Henry Brown, 74, who died Sunday in a Naples hospital following a long illness.
Mr. Brown of Marietta was a retired farmer and a long time resident of Cass County.

Funeral services for Donald Gene Simon, 17, were held Saturday, Mar. 7, ath the Shady Grove Baptist Church of Bloomburg.
The Rev. F. J. Wade officiated and burial was in Bloomburg Cemetery under the direction of Atlanta Funeral Home.
The youth was killed in a car accident Tuesday night, Mar. 3.

WILLIAM HAROLD McCLUNG
Vivian, LA-funeral services were held here Saturday for a former Atlanta resident, the Rev. William Harold McClung, who was a pastor of the First Methodist Church of Hosston, LA.
Funeral services were held in the First Methodist Church in Vivian with internment in the Pine Crest Cemetery in Atlanta.
Harold, as he was remembered by friends and relatives in the Atlanta area, was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank McClung and the grandson of a pioneer family in the area, Mr. and Mrs. W.W. McClung.
After completing his education in Atlanta, Rev. McClung moved to Shreveport where he owned and operated a sign shop until he decided to devote his life to God and his church in 1952.
Since then, Rev. McClung filled the pulpit in Atlanta on numerous occasions.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Miss Marylyn McClung of Houston; one son, Franklin McClung of Bay City; one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Hudson of Texarkana; and a host of other relatives, including the following from Atlanta, Mrs. Jimmie Nelson, Charles Gage, Mrs. Will Howe, and Mrs. Phillip Goudeau.

Mrs. ALENE HOYT
Linden- Mrs. Alene F. Hoyt, 55, a lifelong resident of Linden, died in a local hospital Tuesday morning following a lengthy illness.
The body will be taken to Dallas for cremation and there will be a private memorial Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Hanner-Caver Funeral Home Chapel in Linden for the family only.
Survivors include her husband, Harry F. Hoyt of Linden; one daughter, Miss Talulah Hoyt of Linden; one son, Hicks Hoyt of Longview; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Wommack of Lawton, OK, and Mrs. Mary Lou Fuller of Longview; two brothers, Curtis Fant of Linden, and

CHARLES RAY RAGSDELL
Funeral services were held Saturday Jan. 19 at 2;30 at Salem Church for Charles Ray Ragsdell, 8 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. P. V. Ragsdell of Leary.
He suffered an attack of infantile paralysis Sunday morning and was rushed by ambulance to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Death came at 6 pm after being placed in the iron lung a 4 pm.
Services were conducted by East Funeral Home of Texarkana with Rev. G. G. Hollingsworth and Rev. E. J. Davis.
Pallbearers were Whitney Brown, Morris Clements, L D Wilbanks, S R Stanley, Vernon Wilbanks and J C Wilbanks.
He is survived by his parents, his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. G C Ragsdell and Mrs. Alice Spivey all of Cass Community.

B. S. GRIFFIN
Hughes Springs-Funeral services were conducted Friday from the Flat Creek Baptist Church for B. S. (Mac) Griffin, 62, of Hughes Springs who was found dead in an automobile in Pruitt's Lake.
According to officers investigating the case, Griffin apparently lost control of his car late Tuesday night, died at the wheel, and was not found until Wednesday afternoon.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Della Mae Shirrick of Houston, Mrs. Willie Bell Bowersox of Anchorage, Alaska, Mrs. Nell Thompson of Georgia, Julie Ann Griffin and Mary Lou Griffin both of Tyler, Texas; three sons, Raymond Griffin of Kilgore, Billy Gene Griffin of Gladewater, and Mack Griffin of Tyler; 24 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The Rev. Curtis Hall officiating assisted by the Rev. J. S. Bell. Burial was in Flat Creek Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Watson-Davis Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Freddie Dooley, A. B. Harris, B. N. Golden, Homer Golden, Morris Hampton, and H.A. Finley.

Funeral services were conducted here Saturday from the Hanner Funeral Home for Mrs. Jim Waters, 70, who died in an Atlanta hospital.

Hughes Springs-Funeral services were conducted here Saturday under the direction of Reeder-Watson-Davis Funeral Home for Ben Mars Clark, 63.
Mr. Clark, a native of Morris county, died at his home in Port Arthur where he had lived for a number of years.

ROY A FINCHER
Funeral services for Roy A. Fincher, 71, of Queen City were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Nazarene in Atlanta with the Rev. R.L. Spinks and the Rev. Joh Adler officiating.
Burial was in Courtland Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Services.
Mr. Fincher was stricken with an apparent heart attack while working on a construction job at Queen City and was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital at 4 p.m. Monday.
Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. James McCassland and Mrs. Cleveland McCasland of Queen City; three sons, Henry Fincher, Oval Fincher and Leroy Fincher all of Queen City; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Throckmartin of Muskogee, Okla., and Mrs. Bertha Rawis of Houston; five brothers, Oscar Fincher of Junction, Okla., Virgil Fincher of Stephenville, Jim Fincher of Wichita Falls, Alvin Fincher of Archer City, and Carl Fincher of Montee, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Six of Mr. Finchers grandsons served as pallbearers.

Funeral services for John David Fincher, 3 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Fincher of Queen City, were held at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Hanner Funeral Home Chapel.

The boy died at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday in a Dallas hospital.

NOEL PATTERSON
Funeral services for Noel Patterson, 61, were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday from the Hanner Funeral Chapel with the Rev. frank Richardson officiating.
Burial was in Pine Crest Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
Mr. Patterson died Friday in a Houston hospital following a lengthy illness. An employee of the City of Atlanta, he had lived here fore the past 35 years. He was a member of the Methodist church and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his widow of Atlanta; a son, John Noel Patterson of Bossier City; his father, J.G. Patterson of El Dorado, Ark.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Latham, 74, of Hughes Springs, were held at the Church of Christ with burial in Sardis Cemetery.
Mrs. Latham was pronounced dead on arrival at a Linden hospital of an apparent heart attack, about 6 p.m. Wednesday. She was a native of Cass county and a member of the Church of Christ.
Her survivors include four sons, Horace Latham, Diana, Vernon Latham, Denver, Colo., Walter Lee Latham, Crow's Landing, Calif., and James Arthur Latham, Hughes Springs; and three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Bradley, Lake Charles, La., Mrs. Maxine Conditt, Eustace, and Mrs. Willie Vee Burks, Sherman.

GEORGE FITE, SR.
A sudden heart attack this week had taken the life of one of Cass County's leading educators-George K. Fite, Sr. 44, who was fatally stricken in a Douglassville grocery store Thursday evening.
He was superintendent of the Douglassville Independent School District.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the First Baptist Church of Hughes Springs with the Rev. H.H. Morris and the Rev. Billy Skinner officiating.
Burial was in the Hughes Springs cemetery.
Acting pallbearers were Bill Moore, M.B. Cook, Dwight Coley, Leon Watkins, Harold Rainwater, Gason Lyons, Royce Thomas, and W.D. Wallace. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Douglassville school board.
Mr. Fite was a native of Hughes Springs, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Fite and the grandson of the late Rev. G.K. Williams.
Survivors include his widow and son George Jr.; four sisters, Mrs. Oreta Glover of Linden, Mrs. Sam Hull, Mrs. Delbert Clark and Mrs. Morris Lee of Hughes Springs; six brothers, Odis Fite of Hughes Springs, Lawrence Fite of Madisonville, Tx., Perry and Horace Fite of Dallas, and R.L. and Jack Fite of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Mr. Fite, who began his career as a teacher in Hughes Springs and formerly was superintendent of the Lindale school, had been superintendent of the Douglassville schools the past three years. He had a bachelor of arts degree from East Texas Baptist College, Marshall, and a masters degree from East Texas State University, Commerce. He was a football letterman in high school at Hughes Springs.

R.L. CANNON
Funeral services for R. L. Cannon, 87, were held from the Hughes Springs Baptist Church Monday with the Rev. Curtis HAll and the Rev. T.P. Lee officiating.
Burial was in the Hughes Springs cemetery with the grandsons acting as pallbearers.
Mr. Cannon, a retired farmer and a native of Morris County, died in a Naples rest home Saturday. He was a member of Veal Switch church and the MAsonic Lodge.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Jimmie Cannon; two sons, Ernest and Charlie B. Cannon, both of Orange, Tx.; one daughter, Mrs. Carl Williams of Hughes Springs; one sister, Mrs. Mide Austin of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

VERSIE L. NEAL
Miss Versie Lee Neal, 35, the daughter of Minnion Neal of Linden, died at her home in Linden February 21.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church near Linden with burial in the Pleasant Hill cemetery under the direction of the Atlanta Funeral Home.
She is survived by her father and five sisters, Mrs. Ruth Helen McCray, and Miss Joe Ann Neal, Los Angeles, Calif.; Miss Alice Mae Neal, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Birdie B. Benton, Longview, and Mrs. Betty J. Young, Linden; and her grandmother, Mrs. Metta Allen of Longview.

WILLIE LOCK
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Mims Chapel Methodist Church for Willie Lock, 69, retired framer of the Mims Chapel Community, who died Friday in a Longview hospital.
The Rev. Paul Wallace officiated at the services and burial was in the Mims Chapel cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Watson-Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs.
Pallbearers were Robert T. Dorgan, Odis Cook, Clifton Beene, A.H. Montgomery, William Albright, Ennis Wimberly, Earl Pyland and Ben Bollman, Jr.

O. J. STEPHENS SR.
Death this week claimed O. J. Stephens, Sr., 88 year old prominent Atlanta citizen.
He died at 10:30 p.m. Monday in a local hospital after a long illness.
A native of Hawesville, Ky., Mr. Stephens moved to Atlanta in 1928 and had owned and operated a cotton gin and feed business here for 33 years. He had served on the Atlanta Independent School board for a number of years, was a member and a deacon of the First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Hanner Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Edward Shirley and the Rev. Frank Richardson officiating.
Burial was in the Pine Crest Cemetery, and serving as pallbearers were Fred Cameron, A. V. Rachel, Jewel Nichols, Dan Walker, Ed Mears and Marvis Hagemeier.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. H. E. Oden, and a son, O. J. Stephens, Jr., both of Atlanta; one sister, Miss Gertrude Stephens of Tampa, Fl., one brother, Michael Stephens of Owensboro, Ky., also six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

E. M. ALLEN
Funeral services for E. M. Allen, 73, of New Boston, father of State Highway Patrolman Ralph Allen of Queen City, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Tapp Memorial Methodist Church.
Officiating was the Rev. Alfred I. Doss, and burial was in Chapelwood cemetery, with members of the Masonic Lodge serving as pallbearers.
Born in Alva, Okla., Mr. Allen had been a resident of New Boston for the past 25 years. He was a retired employee of Red River Depot, a member of the Tapp Memorial Methodist Church and a Mason.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Berniece W. Allen of New Boston; a daughter, Mrs. Lurah Mangum of Lawton, Okla.; a son, Ralph Allen of Queen City; one sister, Mrs. Leota Kirk? of Gate, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
Several from Queen City attended the funeral.

RUFUS O. NEWLAND
Funeral services for Rufus O. Newland, 61, of Pittsburg, were held from the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg Monday afternoon with burial in the Pittsburg cemetery..
Mr. Newland was a brother of C.R. Newland, a former Linden attorney.
Other survivors include his widow, one son, Billy Newland who is stationed in Japan with the U. S. Air Force; one daughter, Mrs. Jo Beth Lambert of Houston and four grandchildren.
Charles Newland and Mrs. W. A. Watson, both of this city, a nephew and niece of the deceased and Mrs. E.W. Jones attended the funeral services from Linden.

T.J. COCKRILL
Funeral services for T.J. Cockrill, 55, a painting contractor and grocery store operator were held at the First Baptist Church here last week with the Rev. Robert Kalb and the Rev. H. S. Morris officiating.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Leland V. Cockrill of Hughes Springs; one daughter, Mrs. Joe Blair of Los Angelos, Calif.; five grandchildren and four sisters.
Mr. Cockrill was a member of the First Methodist Church of Hughes Springs.
Burial was in the Hughes Springs cemetery. Pallbearers were Duane Anderson, Jack Ryle, Robert Goodson, Mayo Casling, Paul Abernathy, Leroy Hayes, Caradine Sanders and Carol Leftwich.

Funeral service were held Wednesday at the First Church of Nazarene for Birdie Dodd, 85, of Atlanta who died Monday in a Shreveport hospital following a long illness.
She was a lifetime resident of Cass County.
Rev. John Alba officiated at the services assisted by Rev. Brady Williams. Burial was in Kildare cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. J. K. Callison of Karnack; two sons, Smith Dodd, Sr. of Shreveport and Robert Dodd of Stinett; a sister, Mrs. M. J. Albright of Atlanta; 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

MRS. COLEMAN DANIEL
Mrs. Coleman Daniel, 84, of Atlanta died at her home Monday afternoon after a long illness.
She was a member of the Huffines Baptist Church where services were held Wednesday with the Rev. W. E. Claus officiating, assisted by the Rev. Hershel Wall.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gordon Waites of Atlanta; three sons, Horace Daniel and E. L. Daniel both of Atlanta and Schley Daniel of Shreveport, La.; one sister, Mrs. Veldie Law of Atlanta; one brother, Newt Dauphin of Atlanta; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Russell Law, Thomas Law, James Waites, Loyd Waites, Bryant Waites and Judge Crow.

JESSE EARGLE
A message was received Tuesday night by relatives of the death of Jesse Eargle, 71, of Weatherford. Burial services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. in Weatherford.
Mr. Eargle was born in Cass county and had many relatives and friend here. He was a World War I veteran.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Jesse Jr., and Martin of Fort Worth; six grandchildren, five sisters, Mrs. W.W. Draper and Mrs. Charlie Paul of Atlanta, Mrs. Warren Steed of Liberty, and Mrs. Lois Odom and Mrs. Will Draper of Queen City.

RONNIE RHODES
Two Hughes Springs youths were killed as a result of a car-train collision that occurred near Daingerfield last weekend.
Ronnie Rhodes, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Rhodes, was killed about 10 p.m. Saturday when the car he was driving collided with a Louisiana-Arkansas freight train. George Hughes, 18, a passenger in the car, died about 1 p.m. Monday in a Shreveport hospital. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Hughes of Hughes Springs.
Another passenger, James Hatcher, 21, was taken to a Longview hospital. He was reported to have a broken leg and bruises but not believed to be in serious condition.

Funeral services were held last week for Mrs. Bob Lee Wall, who died after a lengthy illness in a Marshall hospital.
Officiating at the services held at the "Y" church, of which she was a member, were the Rev. R. E. Potter and the Rev. Hershal Wall.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Virgil McDuff of Olla, La., Mrs. Lester Wall of Atlanta, Mrs. Hardy Wiggins of McCleod, Mrs. Chester Waters of Texarkana, and Mrs. A. L. Murph of Marshall; four sons, Tom C. of Terrell, Martin K. of Marshall, R.D. of Atlanta, and Marion of Storm Lake, Iowa; 30 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Union Chapel Methodist church for Mrs. Rhoda Belle Welsh McCoy, 82, of Douglassville.
Mrs. McCoy died Sunday in a Naples hospital.
She had lived in the Douglassville area most of her life and was a member of the Union Chapel Methodist Church.
Officiating at the services were the Rev. C.D. Johnson, the Rev. L.C. Crick and Rev. Tommie Stewert.
Burial was in the Union Chapel cemetery.
Precedeing her in death, her husband Ruben "Rube" Whitfield McCoy.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Fred Zimmerman of Marietta, Mrs. Ruth McCoy, and Mrs. Cameron Nolen, both of Douglassville and Mrs. Grady Betts of Cornett; three sons, James H. "Rube" McCoy of Avinger, Weaver McCoy and Tobe McCoy, both of Douglassville; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
