HENDERSON FAMILY CEMETERY, COLEMAN COUNTY, TEXAS
The Henderson family cemetery is located about a mile north of the Burkett Cemetery on the Dalton Gould place. This land was originally owned by William Henderson, who settled in Coleman County in the late 1870's. They first lived in a dugout on Dead Man's Creek, later building a house on this land. The Henderson's also had a Negro stone mason, who worked for them, who is buried in an unknown grave somewhere on this place.
The cemetery is in a pasture of thick mesquite and broomweeds, but is enclosed in an old wrought iron fence.
