Mary Emma Taylor, age 77, of Coleman, died at 9:50 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 1994 at Holiday Hill Nursing Home.  Services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at Walker Funeral Chapel.  Officiating ministers will be Rev. Lloyd Sansom, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Coleman, assisted by Rev. Jeff Robinett, pastor of Shared Life Ministry, Coleman.  Interment will be in Coleman Cemetery, under the direction of Walker Funeral Home.

Born December 5, 1916, in Fisk, Texas, she was the daughter of William Byron and Meithal LeMay Cathey.  A life-time resident of Coleman County, she was retired from the Federal Land Bank, and was a member of the Methodist Church.  She and J. Les Taylor were married in 1944.  He preceded her in death in 1972.

Survivors include two sisters, Buena Pool of Coleman and Jo Ann King of Brenham; and one brother, Bill Cathey of Midland.

Pallbearers were Bill Dick Hickman, Chubby Brooks, Elsworth Brandon, Dennis Gaines, Don Rhone and David Watson.
