Loyd Dodgen, 59 years of age, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dodgen, born December 14, 1943 in Coleman County Texas, passed away at about 10 p. m. at his residence in Coleman Friday evening, June 27, 2003.  Graveside services are 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) in Adams Cemetery with Ronnie Lane officiating.  Interment to follow with Walker Funeral Home in charge of interment.

Loyd had lived in Coleman and Coleman County all of his life and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Loyd is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Tim Bledsoe of Valera; son and daughter-in-law, Jacky and Jamie Dodgen of Burkett; one adopted daughter, Darla Dodgen of Waco; one adopted son, Phillip Dodgen of Waco; a sister and brother-in-law, Doris Nell and Gary Spurgeon of Coleman; sister-in-law, Mary Lee Dodgen of Irving; six grandchildren, Stephannie and Colton Bledsoe of Valera, Nicky and Alex Dodgen of Burkett, Theresa and William Trammell of San Angelo.
