"I have been married to my wonderful husband, David Rush, since February 9, 1965.  We have 2 daughters.  Our oldest lives in El Cajon, California and is married and has our only grandaughter, who will be 11 in July of 2000.  Our youngest daughter and her husband and 3 boys are in the process of moving back to Coleman at this time (May 27, 2000) from Montgomery, Texas.  I have worked many secretarial jobs in a variey of fields since graduating.  I have worked as a policewoman in the Ft. Worth area when my children were very small.  I worked as Materials Manager for the Coleman Hospital until about 2 1/2 years ago.  I just did some substitute teaching at Coleman High after that until November 1999, when I went to work for the Coleman Police Dept. as a dispatcher.  I work the 3 to 11 shift, which still allows me to do some substitute teaching .... which I enjoy.  My husband has worked for the government for 25 years and is the Dam Maintenance Specialist over 7 Corps of Engineer dams in Texas, Hords Creek Lake being one of them.  We have a small farm about 4 miles out of Coleman on the Burkett Highway and Dave also has a small side-line business called "Dave's Rod & Reel" on our place.  He repairs rods and reels and buys, sells, and trades them.  This will be his retirement business.  Stop in and visit us if you are ever in Coleman."   (2000)
