| Something About Me: "My aunt, Edna Burkett, wanted me to use the name Kay Burkett while in school at Coleman, as my parents were deceased. I graduated from SFASU, graduate work at Texas State University and Texas Lutheran University. I married in 1982 to Clay Garland of San Marcos, a career law enforcement officer. I am still teaching high school -- technology applications courses, currently teaching Digital Graphics and Animation, and the Campus Instructional Technologist. I am also a volunteer mediator and court-ordered mediations. In our spare time we ride Harleys, salt-water fish, and enjoy living here in the beautiful hill country. Love and Light to all." (Karen E.
