Mark Kevin Welch, age 48 of Abilene died Saturday, July 16, 2005 at his residence.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Stanislaw officiating.  Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.  Family visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mark was born January 30, 1957 in Abilene, the son of Gerald Welch and Mary Lee (Jery) Compton Morris.  He grew up in Abilene and Coleman and attended Texas Tech University.  He worked as an automotive salesman.

He is survived by his father, Gerald Welch of Coleman; mother, Jery Morris of Silver Creek, Georgia; one brother, Mike Welch of Odessa; one sister, Michelle of Silver Creek, Georgia and several nieces and nephews.
