 The Upsetters

In the season of 1940, this band of Bluecats pulled a dramatic upset over the Brady Bulldogs that still lives in the memories of fans of both towns.  A powerful and undefeated Brady team had confidently forfeited a district game to Santa Anna the previous week rather than play on a wet night and awaited only their final game with Coleman to wrap up the championship.  The game was played on Thanksgiving Day and this underdog Coleman eleven shocked Brady there, 14 - 7, and gave the championship to Ballinger.
