FALLON, JAMES PAT, JR.
James Pat Fallon, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Fallon, Sr., entered Navy in December, 1942; left for overseas in March, 1943; fought at Leyte and Philippines; served 28 months overseas aboard USS Wilbur Wright; discharged Dec. 20, 1945, as gunner’s mate, second class.

James Pat Fallon, Sr., son of Mrs. J. D. Fallon, entered the Navy Seabees Sept. 20, 1942; sent to Pacific Feb. 12, 1943; served in Aleutians and Guam; 30 months overseas; held rank of metal-smith, first class; discharged Oct. 23, 1945.
 
FARRIS, EDWIN RANDOLPH
Edwin Randolph Farris, son of Mrs. Roberta Farris of Arlington Farms, Va., entered the Army July 16, 1944; trained at Fort Sam Houston and Fort Benning, Ga.; participated in battles in European Theater: served 23 months overseas with 101st Airborne and 508th Paratroop Infantry; discharged on June 24, 1946.
 
FARRIS, WILLARD RICHARD
Willard Richard Farris, son of Mrs. Roberta Farris, of Arlington Farms, Va., entered Marines June 18, 1944; trained at San Diego and Camp Pendleton, Calif.; left for Pacific in December, 1944; fought at Okinawa; served 18 months overseas with Fourth Division, Sixth Marines.
 
FELTY, WALTER
Walter Felty, son of T. N. Felty, was inducted into Army Oct. 7, 1942; trained at Camp Barkeley, Camp Bragg, N. C., and Camp Gorden, Ga.; left for ETO Sept. 29, 1944: fought in Central Europe and Rhineland; served 17 months overseas; awarded two battle stars and American Theater Campaign Medal; held rank of corporal.
 
FENTON, ANDREW E.
Andrew E. Fenton, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Fenton, entered Army July 18, 1944; trained at Camp Fannin and Camp Robinson, Ark.; attached to Headquarters Co., I. R. T. C.; served as boxing and physical training instructor; discharged June 22, 1946; held rank of sergeant.
 
FENTON, EARNEST EUGENE
Earnest Eugene Fenton, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Fenton, Sr., entered Army May 12, 1944: trained at Camp Fannin; left for ETO Dec. 12, 1944; fought in France, Germany and Belgium: served 14 months overseas; awarded Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal; discharged in February, 1946; ranked as sergeant.
 
FENTON, H. F., JR.
H. F. Fenton, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Fenton, Sr., entered Army Nov. 25, 1940; left for ETO April 1, 1943; fought at Salerno, Anzio and Southern France; served 28 months overseas with 36th Division; awarded Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star with cluster and Purple Heart; discharged as first lieutenant.
 
FIELD, CHESTER C.
Chester C. Field, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Field, entered Marine Corps April 17, 1945; received training at Parris Island, South Carolina; was discharged June 11, 1946, while holding the rank of private, first class.
 
FIELD, GRANVIL W.
Granvil W. Field, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Field, entered the Army Oct. 15, 1945; trained at Fort Bliss; left for ETO March 23, 1946; served with Anti-Aircraft Unit; now stationed In Germany as a military police; holds rank of private, first class.
 
FIELD, JAMES CLAUD
James Claud Field, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Field, entered Marine Corps Jan. 29, 1944; received training at San Diego, Calif.; sailed for Pacific July 17, 1944; fought on Okinawa; served 19 months over-seas; discharged March 18, 1946; held rank of corporal.
 
FIELD, THOMAS MARSHALL
Thomas Marshall Field, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Field, entered Coast Guard Sept. 16, 1942; trained at Ellis Island, New York; participated in battles in European Theater; awarded battle star for submarine duty; served aboard USS Galatea; discharged Oct. 27, 1945, as seaman, first class.
 
FORBESS, ANCIL L.
Ancil L. Forbess, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ancil L. Forbess, Sr., entered Army in March. 1944; left for ETO Oct. 16, 1944; served with Third Army and participated in three major battles; overseas 11 months; awarded Bronze Star; discharged in December, 1945; re-enlisted same month; stationed at Fort Crockett.
 
FORMAN, GLENN W.
Glenn W. Forman, son of Mrs. Mary Forman, entered Army Air Forces Jan. 6, 1942; left for Pacific area in February, 1944; fought in Japan, China, Burma and Ryukyus: spent 23 months overseas; awarded Asiatic-Pacific Medal with bronze star and silver star; discharged Oct. 28, 1945, as master sergeant.
 
FOWLER, BUTLER BAILEY, JR.
Butler Bailey Fowler, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Fowler, Sr., entered Army June 20, 1942; sent to Pacific in July, 1943; 24 months overseas: fought on Guadalcanal and others; awarded Purple Heart, Distinguished Service Medal; attached to 25th Division; held rank of captain.
 
FOWLER, JOE W.
Joe W. Fowler, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Fowler, Sr., entered the Army Air Corps Dec. 8, 1943; sent to ETO in June, 1944; made 35 missions over Germany; 10 months overseas: attached to 491st Bombardment Squadron; was first lieutenant when discharged in September, 1945.
 
FOWLER, ODIS
Odis Fowler, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Fowler, Sr., entered the Army Air Corps Aug. 1, 1943; trained at Camp Walters, Sioux Falls, S. D.; sent to Alaska for six months’ service; served at Morrison Field, Fla.; held rank of technical sergeant; discharged Jan. 1, 1946.
 
FREEMAN, ARNOLD LESTER
Arnold Lester Freeman, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Freeman, entered the Navy Nov. 4, 1942; trained at U. S. Naval Training Station, San Diego, Calif.; left for Pacific area Feb. 2. 1943; served 32 months overseas; holds the rank of seaman, first class.
 
FREEMAN, CHARLES H., JR.
Charles H. Freeman, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Freeman, entered Army Feb. 18, 1944; left for ETO Sept. 12, 1944; fought in Rhineland and Central Europe; served 19 months overseas with 405th Infantry; awarded two Bronze Stars and Purple Heart; discharged April 21, 1946, as staff sergeant.
 
FREEMAN, MACON W., JR.
Macon W. Freeman, Jr., son of M. W. Freeman, entered the Navy June 1, 1943; trained at Austin and Fort Pierce, Ala.; left for Pacific area March 20, 1945; fought on Okinawa; served 13 months overseas; discharged from service Aug. 29, 1946; held rank of lieutenant (jg).
 
FREEMAN, ROBERT C.
Robert C. Freeman, son of J. O. Freeman, entered the Army Air Corps May 29, 1944; sent to ETO December, 1944 for four months’ service; fought in Belgian Bulge; attached to 82nd Airborne Division; served with paratroopers; wounded in Belgium; discharged July 6, 1945.
 
FREEMAN, ROY JUNIOR
Roy Junior Freeman, son of R. L. Freeman; entered Navy Nov. 8, 1943; trained at San Diego and San Francisco, Calif.; left for Pacific area June 13, 1944; fought in Philippine Islands; served 15 months overseas; held rank of seaman, first class.
