Garland W. (Skeet) Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe W. Jackson, entered the Army Sept. 17, 1942; trained at Camp Claiborne, La.; sailed overseas March 15, 1944; spent 21 months in the Pacific with Army Engineers; received Meritorious Service Award; discharged as technical sergeant.

J. B. Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Jackson, was inducted into the Army May 5, 1943; trained at Camp Wolters; sailed overseas in January, 1944; fought on New Guinea with 43rd Field Hospital unit; was killed in action on Nov. 4, 1944.

J. D. Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Jackson, entered the United States Army Air Corps Aug. 1, 1946; holds, the rank of private, first class; now stationed at Kelly Field, Texas.
 
JACKSON, RAYMOND L.
Raymond L. Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Jackson; entered the Army Nov. 25, 1940; sailed for ETO April 2, 1943; fought in Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Southern France, Rhineland, and Austria with 36th Division; awarded Purple Heart with cluster and Bronze Star; was staff sergeant.

T. A. Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Jackson; was inducted into the Navy March 13, 1945; received training at San Diego, Calif., Corpus Christi, Norfolk, Va., and Bainbridge; holds rank of hospital apprentice, first class.
 
JACKSON, WILLARD V.
Willard V. Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Jackson; entered the Navy in January, 1943; sailed overseas and spent 20 months in the Pacific; fought on Okinawa, Saipan; attached to Third and 20th Naval Construction Battalions; discharged as machinist’s mate, third class in October, 1945.
 
JAMISON, LYNN WILLIAM
Lynn William Jamison, son of Manton Jamison; entered the Army Air Corps in September, 1942; received training at San Angelo Army Air Field; was sent overseas in November, 1944; spent 14 months in the European theater; discharged as sergeant Feb. 23, 1946.
 
JEANES, ROBY LARUE
Roby Larue Jeanes, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Jeanes; entered Army Air Corps Jan. 29, 1941; left for Pacific Nov. 23, 1943; served as P-47 pilot; killed in action over Luzon March 15, 1945; awarded Air Medal, three clusters, DFC and Purple Heart posthumously; captain when killed.
 
JEWELL, DEXTER
Dexter Jewell, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Jewell; entered the Navy July 22, 1942; sailed overseas July 8, 1943; served in South Pacific, Aieutians and China; spent 28 months overseas; awarded Unit Citation and Chinese Medal; discharged as seaman, first class March 14, 1946.

Sidney Jewell, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Jewell; entered the Army Dec. 11, 1943; trained at Fort Sam Houston and Camp Swift; sailed for ETO Oct. 29, 1944; fought in battle of Rhine River; was attached to Seventh Army; held rank of sergeant when discharged July, 1945.
 
JEWELL, WILLIAM F.
William F. Jewell, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Jewell; entered the Navy Aug. 18, 1842; sailed for Pacific and fought at Kiska, Tarawa, Kwajalein, Eniwetok, Saipan, Guam, Tinian, Leyte, Okinawa, and other Pacific battles; was on USS Tennessee; across 37 months; seaman, first class; discharged.
 
JOHNSON, CHARLES G.
Charles G. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Curtis Johnson; was inducted into the Army Air Force in November, 1942; received training at Sheppard Field, Wichita Falls, Dodge City, Kansas and Enid, Okla.; holds the rank of corporal.
 
JOHNSON, GEORGE C.
George C. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Y. B. Johnson, Sr.: entered the Army March 25, 1943; sailed overseas March 1, 1945; participated in battle of Central Europe; was attached to 75th Division; spent 12 months overseas; held rank of corporal when discharged.

Henry E. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Johnson; entered the Army Air Corps March 12. 1942; trained at Randolph Field, Camp Bowie and in California; left for Europe in February, 1945; spent 11 months overseas; discharged as technical sergeant.
 
JOHNSON, LEO E.
Leo E. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Johnson; entered the Army Air Corps May 21, 1942; trained at Wichita Falls and Houston, Texas; was athletic instructor; held the rank of technical sergeant when honorably discharged Dec. 16, 1945.

Thomas R. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Johnson; was inducted into the Navy Sept. 29, 1945; trained at San Diego and Shoemaker, Calif.; sailed overseas in March 1946: is serving on USS Wilson; is now stationed at Bikini Atoll as seaman, second class.

Y. B. Johnson, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Y. B. Johnson, Sr.; was inducted into the Army Jan. 28, 1943; was sent overseas in August, 1944; fought in battles of the Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe with 393rd Infantry; awarded Purple Heart; discharged as captain July 1946. 
 
JOLLY, ROBERT B.
Robert R. Jolly, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Jolly; was inducted into the Army Nov. 10, 1942; trained at Goodfellow Field, Camp Maxey, Camp Crowder, Mo.; sailed for ETO in September, 1944; fought in Rhineland and Central Europe; discharged as corporal Feb. 20, 1946.
 
JONES, GLENN W.
Glenn W. (Bill) Jones, son of A. A. Jones; was inducted into the Coast Guard Aug. 7, 1942; received training at New Orleans, La.; was sent overseas June 21, 1943; saw action at Guam and Solomons during 21 months spent in the Pacific Theater of Operations.
 
JONES, HERMAN A.
Herman A. (Ike) Jones, son of A. A. Jones of Coleman; was inducted into the United States Marine Corps May 14, 1944; received training at the Marine Base in San Diego, Calif.: was medically discharged from service July 7, 1944.
 
JUSTICE, HUDSON DAVIS
Hudson Davis Justice, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Marks Justice, Sr.; entered the Marine Corps March 11, 1946; received training at the Marine Base in San Diego, Calif.; is stationed at San Diego at the present time; holds rank of private, first class.
 
JUSTICE, LEE MARKS, JR.
Lee Marks Justice, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Marks Justice, Sr.; entered Marine Corps June 2, 1942; sailed for Pacific Oct. 19, 1942; fought on Guadalcanal, Tarawa and Saipan with Second Marine Division; awarded Bronze Star, Unit Citation; discharged as corporal.
 
JUSTICE, WILLIAM JEFF
William Jeff Justice, son of Lee Marks Justice, Sr.; entered Marine Air Corps July 8, 1942; left for Pacific April 12, 1945; served on aircraft carrier, USS Gilbert Island, as Naval pilot; awarded three Air Medals; discharged as first lieutenant Jan. 31, 1946.
