1942; sailed for Pacific July 8, 1943; fought on Leyte. Samar, Bismarck
and Admiralties; was attached to 82nd Field Artillery, First Cavalry Division;
awarded Purple Heart; discharged as staff sergeant.

J. O. Ketchersid, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Ketchersid, entered the
Navy Sept. 19, 1945; received training at San Diego. Calif.; held the rank
of seaman, first class when honorably discharged from service Aug. 22,

Air Force Sept. 5, 1941; received training at Randolph Field, San Antonio,
Waco, Miami, Fla., and in Nebraska; served with 870th Guard Squadron; was
sergeant when discharged Oct. 25, 1945.

Robert F. Kincaid, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Kincaid, entered the Army
in May 1945; trained at Camp Hood, Texas; sent to Pacific Theater of Operations
in October 1945; holds rank of corporal; now stationed with occupational
forces in Japan.

when discharged Nov. 24, 1945.

to Ninth Infantry Division; was sergeant; discharged.

Hollis B. Kitchen, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Kitchen, entered the Army
March 14, 1945: received training at Camp Hood. Texas: sent to Pacific
on Sept. 28, 1945; served with 14th Base Post Office; is sergeant; now
stationed in Korea.

Joe Bob Kline, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kline, entered the Army Aug.
16, 1944; sent to ETO Jan. 8, 1945; was attached to General Patton’s Third
Army; killed in action in Mozelle River Valley on March 15, 1945; awarded
Purple Heart posthumously.

Eldon M. Knox, son of Dr. and Mrs. E. L. Knox, entered the Army Dec.
15. 1940: left for Pacific July 3, 1943; fought at Bismarck New Guinea,
Leyte, Northern Philippines: served with First Cavalry Division; awarded
Bronze Star Medal; discharged as major on Dec. 5, 1945.

now stationed at Santa Fe.

Alfred A. Kohler, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Calk, entered the
Army Air Corps Jan. 10, 1934; sent to CBI Dec. 23, 1943: spent 24 months
oversees; served with the Air Transport Command; holds the rank of major;
now stationed at Las Vegas Army Air Field, Nev.
