Darlton C. Kading, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kading, entered the Army Air Forces May 27, 1943; received training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., Atlanta, Ga., Jefferson, Mo., Lincoln, Neb.; held the rank of private, first class when discharged March 2, 1944.
 
KEENEY, JOHN L.
John L. Keeney, son of Mrs. Belle Keeney, entered the Army Air Corps Oct. 1, 1942; trained at Camp Wolters, Texas, Hammer Field, Calif., March Field, Calif., Kearns, Utah; sent to CBI Jan. 9, 1945; spent 12 months overseas; holds rank of corporal.
 
KEENEY, L W.
L. W. Keeney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Keeney; entered the Army Aug. 16, 1944; sent to Pacific February, 1945; fought in Luzon and Philippines; overseas six months; awarded Purple Heart; was attached to 46th Cavalry Unit; discharged as private, first class June, 1946.
 
KEENEY, WALTER
Walter Keeney, son of Roger Keeney, entered the Army Air Corps Nov. 6, 1942; sent to ETO July 25, 1943; fought in Normandy, Rhineland, Germany; spent 23 months overseas; served with the Ninth Air Force; was private, first class; discharged Sept. 1, 1945.
 
KERBOW, HENRY DAVID
Henry David Kerbow, son of Henry D. Kerbow; entered the Army July 7, 1942; sailed for Pacific July 8, 1943; fought on Leyte. Samar, Bismarck and Admiralties; was attached to 82nd Field Artillery, First Cavalry Division; awarded Purple Heart; discharged as staff sergeant.
 
KETCHERSID, J. O.
J. O. Ketchersid, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Ketchersid, entered the Navy Sept. 19, 1945; received training at San Diego. Calif.; held the rank of seaman, first class when honorably discharged from service Aug. 22, 1946.
 
KIDD, ALTON LEE
Alton Lee Kidd, son of A. B. Kidd, entered the Navy April 12, 1945; trained at San Diego, and Coronado, Calif.; sailed to Pacific Dec. 27, 1945; spent seven month overseas; held rank of fireman, first class when discharged Aug. 15, 1946.
 
KILE, BENNIE HOUSTON
Bennie Houston Kile, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Kile, entered the Army Air Force Sept. 5, 1941; received training at Randolph Field, San Antonio, Waco, Miami, Fla., and in Nebraska; served with 870th Guard Squadron; was sergeant when discharged Oct. 25, 1945.
 
KILE, LUTHER PRESTON
Luther Preston Kile, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Kile, entered the Army Air Corps Oct. 24, 1942; received training at San Angelo and Bryan Army Air Field, Bryan, Texas; served with the 2511th Base Unit; held the rank of corporal; discharged Feb. 27, 1946.
 
KILE, RICHARD CURTIS
Richard Curtis Kile, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Kile, entered the Army Air Forces May 15, 1942; received training at Wichita Falls, Texas and at bases in California; served with the Fourth Air Force; was technical sergeant; discharged Dec. 5, 1945.
 
KILE, WAYNE MACK
Wayne Mack Kile, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Kile, entered the Navy Dec. 7, 1943; received training at San Diego, Calif., Little Creek and Norfolk, Va., New Orleans, La., Gulfport, Miss.; held the rank of seaman, first class; served as radar operator; discharged.
 
KILGORE, ELROY B.
Elroy B. Kilgore, son of Roy S. Kilgore, entered the Army June 25, 1943; sent to ETO Sept. 21, 1944; fought in Belgian Bulge; spent eight months overseas; was attached to infantry Division; was awarded Purple Heart; holds the rank of private, first class.
 
KIMBRELL, FORREST C.
Forrest C. Kimbrell, son of Mrs. Charlie A. Kimbrell, entered the Army Nov. 25, 1940; sent to ETO April 1, 1943; fought in Salerno; awarded Purple Heart; was attached to 36th Infantry Division; was staff sergeant; discharged June 5, 1945.
 
KIMBRELL, YOUNG EDWARD
Young Edward Kimbrell, son of Mrs. Charlie A. Kimbrell, entered the United States Marines Dec. 20, 1943; sent to Pacific in May, 1945; fought on Leyte, Luzon, Okinawa; spent 14 months overseas; was attached to Third Marine Airwing, Squadron 953; discharged Oct. 27, 1945.
 
KINCAID, ROBERT F.
Robert F. Kincaid, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Kincaid, entered the Army in May 1945; trained at Camp Hood, Texas; sent to Pacific Theater of Operations in October 1945; holds rank of corporal; now stationed with occupational forces in Japan.
 
KING, DONALD D.
Donald D. King, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. King, entered the Army Nov. 25, 1940; sent to ETO April 2, 1943; fought in Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Southern France; spent 28 months overseas; awarded Purple Heart; was attached to 36th Infantry Division; discharged in July, 1945.
 
KING, HAZEL LOUISE
Hazel Louise King, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. King, enlisted in the WAVES March 24, 1943; received training at Bronx, N. Y., Memphis, Tenn. Miami, Fla.; held the rank of aviation machinist’s mate, third class, when discharged Nov. 24, 1945.
 
KING, JAMES ANDREWTON
James Andrewton King, son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. King, entered the Army June 8, 1941; sent to ETO Oct. 16, 1942; fought in Sicily, Tunisia, Normandy, France, Rhineland, Ardennes, Central Europe, and Algeria; attached to Ninth Infantry Division; was sergeant; discharged.
 
KING, JAMES WILLIE
James Willie King, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie King entered Army Air Corps Sept. 29, 1941; received extensive training in the States before being sent overseas in December, 1944; spent I months in CBI sector; was honorably discharge as first sergeant, Feb. 8, 1946.
 
KING, JOHN CLIFTON, JR.
John Clifton King, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. King, entered the Navy Aug. 12, 1943; trained at San Diego and Oakland, Calif.; sailed to Pacific April 2, 1944; spent 20 months overseas; was hospital apprentice first class; discharged on April 3, 1946.
 
KING, ROY TRAVIS
Roy Travis King, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. King, entered the Navy Oct. 10, 1944; received training at San Diego, Calif.; sailed to Pacific Jan. 27, 1945; fought on Okinawa and Borneo; overseas 16 months; was seaman third class when discharged on June 10, 1946.
 
KITCHEN, HOLLIS B.
Hollis B. Kitchen, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Kitchen, entered the Army March 14, 1945: received training at Camp Hood. Texas: sent to Pacific on Sept. 28, 1945; served with 14th Base Post Office; is sergeant; now stationed in Korea.
 
KLINE, JOE BOB
Joe Bob Kline, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kline, entered the Army Aug. 16, 1944; sent to ETO Jan. 8, 1945; was attached to General Patton’s Third Army; killed in action in Mozelle River Valley on March 15, 1945; awarded Purple Heart posthumously.
 
KNOX, ELDON M.
Eldon M. Knox, son of Dr. and Mrs. E. L. Knox, entered the Army Dec. 15. 1940: left for Pacific July 3, 1943; fought at Bismarck New Guinea, Leyte, Northern Philippines: served with First Cavalry Division; awarded Bronze Star Medal; discharged as major on Dec. 5, 1945.
 
KNOWLES, FRED HAROLD
Fred Harold Knowles, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Knowles, entered the Army Jan. 9, 1946; received training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas and Santa Fe, N. M.; is attached to Military Police Unit; is private first class; now stationed at Santa Fe.
 
KOHLER, ALFRED A.
Alfred A. Kohler, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Calk, entered the Army Air Corps Jan. 10, 1934; sent to CBI Dec. 23, 1943: spent 24 months oversees; served with the Air Transport Command; holds the rank of major; now stationed at Las Vegas Army Air Field, Nev.
