YANCY, STEVE LOVIE
Steve Lovie Yancy, son of Steve A. Yancy, entered the Naval Air Corps June 3, 1941; received training at San Diego, Alameda, San Francisco, Calif.; sailed to Pacific Jan. 8, 1942; overseas 23 months; holds rank of aviation chief machinist’s mate.
YATES, FRANKLIN C.
Franklin C. Yates, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Yates, entered the Army Nov. 5, 1940; sent to FTO Oct. 8, 1943; overseas 34 months; fought in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe; holds rank of technical sergeant.
YATES, JIMMIE S.
Jimmie S. Yates, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Yates, entered the Army April 1, 1941; trained in Oklahoma and California; sent to Pacific March 19, 1942; fought on New Guinea; overseas 41 months; held the rank of private, first class, when discharged from service in June, 1946.
YOUNG, EDWARD N.
Edward N. Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Young, entered the Army Nov. 8, 1943; trained at Fort Sill, Okla., Camp Bowie, Texas; sent to Pacific Theater of Operations Oct. 10, 1944; overseas 18 months; held rank of staff sergeant when discharged May 14, 1946.
YOUNG, ROY M.
Roy M. Young, son of W. L. Young, entered the United States Navy Dec. 22, 1945; received training at San Diego and San Pedro, Calif.; sailed to Pacific March 14, 1946; is fireman, first class, serving with the Seventh Fleet; still in service.
