On July 8,1907, Willie Mabel Day Padgitt and her husband, J. Tom Padgitt,
donated four acres of land out of the W. C. Perry Survey #122, Lot 101,
to create Elm Creek School District #38. This was a one teacher school
and was taught six months of the year. The school was abandoned in
1914 and the pupils of the area attended school at Voss.
In August 1914, permission was granted for the trustees of the Voss School
District to sell the Elm Creek School House.
