HOWELL, NICHOLSON, LOWERY are the names in particular that I am looking for. Robert Nathaniel Henry HOWELL and his descendants. He was initially married to Elizabeth NICHOLSON in TN in 1836 and moved to Smith County TX in 1856 or thereabout. They had twelve children. I have much information on the boys and their descendants but very little on some of the girls. Here are the children's names: Telitha, Mariah Caroline, Marella, Sarah Elizabeth, Christopher Lamanthus, Leonidas Stanwix, Samuel Houston, Isaac Montivelle, B. Briggs, Joseph, Emily Amelia, Thirsy Jane. After Elizabeth's death, Robert NH married Mrs. Nancy LOWERY and moved to Comanche County where they remained for the rest of their lives. Robert NH died Dec. 10, 1896 and is buried there in DeLeon cemetery. I have a LOT of info to share and would like to hear from anyone knowing anything about

Granddad Roy Jasper Camp 1893-1972 of Ft. Worth said his father Caswell Jordan Camp 1852-1918 was a member of the Choctaw tribe and had family members in Paducah, TX. Caswell was born in Panola co., married Sarah Emaline Harris in 1878 in Comanche, TX. His father Johnson Camp was born in Gwinnett co, GA, married Emily T. Lacy there in 1838. GGM Sarah Emaline Harris b. 1859 in Palo Pinto co,TX, married Caswell Jordan Camp in Tarrant co, TX and died 1878 in Comanche co, TX. She is said to have been part Cherokee Indian. Her parents were Jerry F. Harris b. 1830, TN (who died in 1930 from being run over by a train in Comanche, TX) and Sarah Jane Moore b. 1832 SC, died 1906 in Comanche, TX. Jerry and Sarah Harris had also sons Poley (Napoleon) and Harvey and daughter Martha Harris Lane. Please contact me if you know these folks!

I am looking for information on Doctor Samuel WALKER who migrated to Hamilton Co. sometime in the 1860's from Arkansas, Tennessee and Missouri. Born 1828 in Tennessee. Married Margaret J. Hurley, born April 4, 1832 in Missouri. He died October 29, 1893 in Stephens Co. Buried in DeLeon. History books mention him during the Comanche years. I am looking for any information. Will gladly share.

HALL, married (2) 1876 to Samuel Rueben NUCKOLS, married (3) 1905 in Bell Co TX to James CUNNINGHAM, sheriff of Comanche Co TX. Children: William Duke NUCKOLS, James Dillard NUCKOLS, Edwin Dabney NUCKOLS. Lydia Evelyn HUNT HALL NUCKOLS CUNNINGHAM died 1933 in Comanche Co TX and was buried by Samuel Rueben NUCKOLS at Bethelehem Cemetery in Whitney, Hill County, Texas. BURKS, TRAYLOR, HARRIS, CUNNINGHAM, LYON, ROBINSON Elizabeth BURKS born 1828 Jasper Co GA to James LYON BURKS and Martha ROBINSON (1) married 1847 in Union Co AR to Champion Travis TRAYLOR. Champion died 1855 in a robbery said to have been done by indians in San Saba Co TX. Elizabeth returned, after the birth of last child, Champion Junior, in Burnet; she was escorted by her brother Thomas Jefferson BURKS to their father's home in Scott Co MS. TJ BURKS wrote of that trip where he saw the "Stars and Bars" fly for the first time over the state of TEXAS. Elizabeth (2) married 1862 Thomas Jefferson HARRIS Junior, widower of her sister. They migrated to Texas and resided in Hill Co TX before they settled in Comanche Co TX. Elizabeth and Thomas HARRIS are buried in Shilo Cemetery. Children by her first Marriage: Laura Ann TRAYLOR who married James CUNNINGHAM--both buried in Shilo Cemetery James Franklin TRAYLOR b 1850 Martha Frances TRAYLOR b 1851 John Thomas TRAYLOR b 1853 Champion Travis TRAYLOR b 1855 in Burnet. <Several children were born to Thomas HARRIS in first marriage.> Chilren by her second Marriage: Robert Emmett Lee HARRIS b 1863 Albert Sidney HARRIS b 1865 Exah Jane HARRIS b 1868 Jesse Gardner HARRIS b 1873 Richard Coke HARRIS b 1874. Lingles donated land for LINGLEVILLE, TX and moved to Indian Territory. Would also like information on BYFORD families, and also McKINNEY. James MCKINNEY lived in Parker Co.TX in Weatherford before moving to I.T. He and his family came from Barbour Co., Alabama. Family history always claimed a connection to McKINNEY, TX but need proof of connection to Collin MCKINNEY who it was named for. Also would like information on family of Elia ROBERTS who fought in the Mexican War, recieved Bounty land in Hockley , TX was married to Patsy Irons or Smith and lived in FAlls Co., After she died he married Mrs. Melvina BOWERS, widow of LT. Frances Elizabeth MCDONALD on 2 Sept 1866 in Bienville Parish, La. and d. 28 Oct 1906 in Comanache, Texas, buried in City Cemetery. Their children: James Samuel NORRID m. Emily J. Dillon; Edward David NORRID M. Azalee Roe; Laura Ada Lou NORRID; John Wilson NORRID m. Venah Roe; and Martha Evaline NORRID who possibly married W.D. LAMMONS. I am looking for the burial place and death date of: Amos Franklin CULP b: April 19, 1835 in Kentucky husband of Amelia Caroline MAHONEY. Sophronia PARKER b.ca. 1855 TX Alameda PARKER b.ca.1859 TX Ebey SMITH b.ca. 1874 TX (orphan) Caledonia died when Viola was young. Viola was later raised by an uncle according to family story. What happened to William M. RUNNELLS? He was born in Monroe Co, IA, 2 Dec 1846, son of Perry Stephen RUNNELLS and Clarissa CONE. Enlisted in Union Army and went to Texas; according to his military records, he deserted to the Confederates in Texas. Family story states that his family went to Texas, and when they left he stayed behind. In 1880 he was living in Comanche Co., with wife Mary, children Perry (10 years), Senora (8 years), George (6 years), Alice (2 months). Would like contact with any descendants, to fill in this branch. Have a great deal of information to share!

I am searching for any information on the STONE family of Comache Cnty., TX during the 1800's. Any information on the families of Martin STONE, William STONE, Green STONE, Redman STONE, John L. STONE, and Andrew STONE. I do know that the children of Martin & Nancy Stone were Jane M. STONE, Green B. STONE, John Martin STONE and Martha J. STONE, and that John Martin married Ann Eliza HILL on Aug. 19, 1875. This branch of the STONE family was originally from Tennessee and were in TX by 1870 census...lost track by 1880 census.
