Note: Requests for birth, death, and marriage
certificate copies must be written and a reason for the copy stated. Some form of
ID is required. It is probably best to call ahead
before mailing in a request. The earliest records on file are as
follows: Marriage License - after 1850, Birth and Death - 1903, Deed records -
after 1850, Probate (not all) - after 1850. Charges are: birth - $23, death - $21, marriage - $1
for copy or $11.00 certified. Most other records are $1 per page for
copies. The Clerks office can not do land "searches" but will
make copies of a known date/and person on land records. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Hours are 8 to 5, Monday -
Friday.
