My Uncle told me that my great grandfather was married before he married

married Oscar Leroy Davis in 1903. Nora Bell died in Healdton, Ok. about
1916 and Oscar L. Davis died in Love co., Ok. in about 1920. They had
children named Blanche Tini(Mona) and Ira Lee Davis, my father.
Ron Hullum may have been married for a short time to Blanche Davis, I
think in Gainesville, Tx. I have not at this time secured a marriage
license.

and his wife Harriet Frances Russell born in Missouri. This union
produced two children Goerge DeWitt Lewis born 01/05/1872 and a daughter
who died at an early age. George DeWitt married Octavia Adelina Beavers.
This union produced 13 children between 1892 and 1918. There is a family
plot at the Era cemetary which I have photographed. George DeWitt was
killed in a gravel pit near Era. Octavia (Tivy) was killed by lightening
near their home. If any of this sounds familar to anyone please contact

Looking for information about an orphanage that was located in
Gainesville, Cook Co., Texas that was supposed to have burned with all
its records. I was told my grandfather, Cifton Joseph SHERAR, b. 1883 in
Lee Co., Tx. and his brother, William Henry SHERAR, b. 1885 in Lee Co.,
Tx. and their 4 sisters (names unknown) lived there in the orphanage in
the late 1800's to early 1900's. Three of the sisters died while in the
orphanage from an illness. Their father, Thomas Henry SHERAR, died in
late 1800's and their mother, Harriet (Hattie) OLIPHANT SHERAR, was ill
and not able to take care of her children. Harriet died in 1909.
Clifton married Jodie Brooks JOHNSON in Love Co., Okla. in 1904. Any
information about the orphanage's existance and where the girls may have
been buried would be appreciated.

1890-1910? Some of our ancestors brothers and sisters lived their about
that time. R.H. Wright married Marietta Burks there around 1891, Sarah
Addie Wright Clary had a child Willie Clary born there in 1895. Rube and
Sarah had other brother's and sisters as well...Henry, Lizzie, Bob,
Jesse, Sue, Fed, Jim, and Jack Wright. What I don't know is if they all
lived there at one time with their parents James Pinckney and Sarah
Wright or if only the children migrated to that area of Texas. I know
later Rube and several of the brothers lived in Garvin and Carter
counties of Oklahoma, and Sarah and her husband Willie Clary sr., lived
in Texas, but he died in Oklahoma somewhere(I would like to know where).
She is buried in Stephens county Texas... along with her mom and dad. I'm
trying to get an idea of where the family lived and why they moved so
much. I can't find the family on the 1880 census which would really

Searching for information on William Milton BYROM who came from near
Tullahoma, TN to Texas in 1868 or 1869, settling in FANNIN County; later
in about 1870 to near Gainesville, COOKE County; then to MONTAGUE County

He died in Atasocsa County in 1886.
He and third wife Sara Walden WALKER were in FANNIN County when my

family. Several BYROM family members are working on the line and need

resided in the Cooke county reigon in the late 1800s. The family lore is
Nellie or Sally was either reared or adopted by a doctor in Cooke
